Ziel continued to observe Owaen behind the bar, a sense of sympathy tugging at her heart as she watched him darting back and forth to attend to the needs of the patrons. She wished his coworkers were just as diligent, if not more, than he was.

"It seems like you have your hands full," Ziel remarked with a sympathetic smile, her gaze flickering to the bustling activity around them. "I can imagine it must be difficult to keep up with everything," she agreed, her tone laced with empathy. "But it's clear that you handle it all well from where I’m sitting."

She took a moment to savour the last few bites of her fish, appreciating the freshness of the catch. "The fish is delicious, thank you," she said sincerely, a genuine smile gracing her lips.

As Owaen listed off potential activities in the area, Ziel listened attentively, intrigued by the variety of options available. "The fishing contest sounds fun," she commented thoughtfully, her mind already considering the possibility of participating. "Exploring the local artisan shops sounds like a delightful way to spend the day. Thank you for the recommendations, Owaen." She wasn’t the best at fishing but it did seem like a fun activity she could do.

“Ever been to the mainland by the way? I think you’d like the bars in Oba quite a bit.” Ziel remarked as she pushed the empty plate away from her and dapped her mouth with a napkin. Hopefully, she wasn't hogging up his time too much.

"A lot of fishermen show up for the contest. They go fishing for the big ones in deeper water." He commented before looking out over the floor. The girls were flirting with the men again and he heaved a sigh. Things would never change between the two.

Reaching to take the plate from the woman he glanced at her a little taken aback. "How did you know my name?" He didn't remember telling her, though he probably should have from the start of this whole interaction. Perplexed he just shook it off and chocking it up to one of the patrons shouting it earlier before the girls came in. Taking the plate from the counter he turned and placed it onto the sill of the small window to be taken to the back. He would clean it later with all the rest of the dishes after closing for the night. "Nope, haven't left Belrea. Debts to be paid and all. I hope to when I get a little older."

"Is there anything else that I can get you? Things are getting pretty lively in here as those from the docks are coming in for meals and a little social interaction." He once more glanced towards Meg and Dalia who moved between the tables like dancers. "Hopefully no one gets too rowdy and a fight breaks out... Again."
He glanced towards two of the burlier men who were trying to get Meg to have a drink with him.

"That's enough over there! Save your flirting for your wives at home!" Owaen shouted as the men let Meg go. She straightened out her own top. Afterwards she started scolding the men, now that the boss of the tavern had spoken.

Ziel’s gaze flickered between the animated conversations and Owaen. She chuckled softly at the bartender's comment about the fishing contest, nodding in agreement. "Sounds like it's going to be quite the event," she replied, taking the final sip of her drink and pushing it back. She was going to have to try something different next time, but this had been a good first choice for a newbie such as herself.

As Owaen reached for the plate asking about his name, Ziel offered him a friendly smile, her voice light. "Oh, I've heard your name mentioned a few times around here. Seems like you're quite the popular figure," she said before nodding understandingly at his mention of debts. "I hear you. Life has a way of keeping us tied down, doesn't it?" she remarked, her tone sympathetic.

Ziel shook her head with a grateful smile at his offer for more drinks or food. "I'm all set for now, thank you," she replied, gesturing towards her empty mug. "But I'll definitely keep this place in mind if I need anything else."

Her attention drifted to the scene unfolding across the room as Owaen reprimanded the rowdy patrons. Ziel couldn't help but chuckle. With a final nod of thanks to Owaen, Ziel pushed back her chair and rose to her feet. "Well, it's been nice. Thank you again for the recommendation," she said as she left some coins on the bar.

Owaen waved a hand, he had figured it would have come from someone shouting. "This is a town that knows just about everyone. You frequent a place long enough you get to know who works there." He said with a grin.

Taking the mug away as it seemed that the woman was done with it. It also looked like she was getting ready to leave. "You are always welcome back to The Averin's Roost. A place of good food, company and a place to rest if the weather outside makes you blue." Owaen said in a way as if he were trying to sell something. "Do have a wonderful rest of your day." He waved as she left, turning back to another patron.

"HEY, enough of that. No, no, put that chair down!"

"Thank you," Ziel replied with a warm smile, nodding appreciatively at his words. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Your hospitality, just as your recommendation, has been wonderful." As she made her way towards the door after paying, Ziel paused, turning back to Owaen with a final word. "I'll make sure to check out the fishing contest. Who knows, maybe I'll even catch the biggest fish!" With a playful wink, she stepped out into the bustling streets of the town, she didn’t think she had the skills for it but she would check it out and give it a go if the mood struck.
