Beowulf gave the most mortified look at the mention of the airships. They had been a thing that he had thought about, but the fact that people went up in those things shook him deeply. Who knew what travesties could happen if one of those things had gone down in the seas. The lives that would have been lost, the buffet for the monsters that lived there for sure. Shaking his head he looked back down at his book and the work he had completed. "Those things are death traps waiting to happen." Beowulf shuddered as he pulled a piece of wax coated paper from the back of his book and placed it over the finished drawing. Closing the book he pulled the strap over his head and over onto his shoulder. "I live on the more southern side of Vares if you are headed to Pajore. So we're not that far away at all." he nodded, "Cozy little villages are better then bustling large cities. They are nice to visit, not to live. Too many people for my liking." Beowulf shifted out of his seat and stood, adjusting the strap to his book. "To the food stands it is then. As for mysteries, there aren't that many that I am looking for. It is mostly the better understanding of magic so that I can help others more effectively." He said rubbing the back of his head as if it were a silly thing. "My adventure with the mainlanders showed that I still have a lot to learn. I was lacking for sure in the means of help."He still doubted himself, he felt that he should have been able to have done more. Sighing, always hating himself for not being able to help more against the Vryhx. Maybe the next time something comes up he will be better prepared to give it his all. For the mean time, he had start making his way towards the food stands. Eying the skewers of meet and plant matter, the mixed fruit platters and other assorted things that were being offered.

Jianyu observed Beowulf's reaction to the mention of airships, it was clear that the idea of flying contraptions unsettled him deeply, likely due to the potential dangers they posed. He too felt the same about the flying death traps, he couldn’t imagine how the Belreans used them as their main way of transportation. The idea itself seemed crazy.
"I completely understand," Jianyu said. "Airships are probably one of the most, if not the most, dangerous ways of transportation if you ask me... especially considering the risks involved." As Beowulf mentioned his preference for cozy villages over bustling cities, Jianyu nodded in agreement. "Indeed, the tranquillity of smaller communities has its own appeal," he remarked, following Beowulf as he rose from his seat. “I can’t say it’s also very appealing to only be surrounded by Yaeli as well.”
As they made their way towards the food stands, Jianyu kept pace with Beowulf, his own thoughts drifting to his own journey of self-discovery and growth. Like Beowulf, he harboured doubts and insecurities, but he remained determined to face whatever challenges lay ahead with courage and resilience. And perhaps, in the company of newfound friends like Beowulf, the road ahead would seem a little less daunting.
“Yes I definitely like the idea of getting better at my craft, I’m just not willing to go beyond Yael at this time for it,” he said as he grabbed some skewers.

Beowulf enjoyed the flavor of the spiced meat between the sprigs of plant matter on the skewer as he listened to Jianyu speak. Swallowing what was in he mouth he commented, "I had found a report, well clipping from a mainland paper of the ship that had crash landed come years ago. Before I was aware of what was around me. Said it was a malfunction, but I think it was something else." He took another bite from the skewer as he turned to move on to another stand. "I see a few mainland races where I live. They, of course, have migrated here for one reason or another. Some having been here for a couple generations I think." He paused to ponder, "My teacher stayed home to tend to one who had become ill. Hopefully they are doing better, maybe I can also help by finding something here that is different." His attention looked back towards the displays and those that were selling herbs from different regions of their world. His attention turned back to his companion as he mentioned not wanting to leave Yael just yet. Beowulf wasn't too sure that he would leave the island again. Unless there was meaning to his departure back to the mainland besides going on a whim. "Someday we both will have the courage to stretch our wings and leave our cozy nest." He said referring to Yael as their nest. Beowulf hopes to go back to Matori someday. The rainy lands interested him a bit, though it was a little too soggy for his real liking. Perhaps he could reach one of the more dry lands and explore there next. He would just have to wait and see what fate had in store for him. "But in the mean time, You're always welcome at my place. To find it, just keep and eye toward sky."

As Jianyu savoured the flavours of the different meats and vegetables on the skewer, Beowulf's words caught his attention. "I've stumbled on some reports of ships too," he responded, taking another bite. That kind of news about such incidents always spread like wildfire. Why anyone would go on another ship after such things happened was beyond him.
When Beowulf mentioned his reluctance own to leave Yael, I understood his sentiment. "Maybe," he agreed, though he doubted it. Thinking of the responsibilities awaiting him, Jianyu quickly finished up the few skewers left on his plate.
"I have a talk to attend soon, but I hope to see you again, Beowulf." With a warm smile, he added, "I don’t have my own home just yet, but once I do I will extend an invitation to you and maybe I’ll visit you in a few months. It was nice meeting you, I hope our paths will cross sooner rather than later!" And wit that he gave Beowulf a curt nod of his head and headed out to his talk with a bit of a pep in his step. It really did seem like he’d made a new friend!

Time did fly, when Jainyu mentioned that he had something to go to, Beowulf wondered just where the time had gone. It didn't seem like they had been chatting for that long, he supposed because they had many things in common that the day just slipped away. He hadn't ignored the agreement of the news of the ships and their crashes. Just he was a bit saddened that Jainyu had to leave for something. "You have fun, I am going to see what I can grab from the market. I am sure we will see each other again." Beowulf waved as his new friend headed off to attend his talk. "This day was not as expected." He chuckled to himself before heading in his own direction.
