Lycothyyr 4
There was not much he could do. His brother's stress scared him and he wanted to punch the people that had caused it, however there was a great wall of Dad in his way. He too reached ou to try and help Dep. He liked Dep despite his close bond to Unduru and more importantly his brother loved Dep. He wanted to help but short of biting Dep's accosters he couldn't do much . Then he looked ot the ground and saw rounded stones. Smiling he picked a few up, handing some over to his brother and started to hurl the rocks at the bandits. Maybe Dep would take another limb from these ungrateful rats who though tot provoke them and risk it anyway. Dep wouldn't have done anything had the badits not been banditing to begin with.
Dep's armor was effective and Lyco deeply hoped that it stayed that way. The janarim meant a lot to him. He would be deeply upset if anything happened. THey should have brought a radaku but this whole trip was to find Dep a mate or companion. He flung a rock between his guardians and hit one of the bandits on the temple distracting and dropping him to the ground, away from Dep.

Vallen 5
His heart jolted as he saw Dep go down, no this could not be happening. He jabbed a spear at one and nearly took an eye out, the accoster no more than a young boy who took one look at his enraged face and turned around running. Vallen tried to take it as a compliment. He wasn't that much older than the boys and Vallen and Isaris were getting up there in age, Isaris aging like fine wine.
"Dep!" He yelled, they would need a healer if that had penetrated aromor, there was less of it on the belly to allow for movement. But Janarim were still very tough, he had seen them go through worse.

Lyco 5
For the second time in not too long, tears leaked from his eyes. His brother's favorite, he too liked Dep..Dads janarim... a member of their family. He glared at the bullies and he charged out of the circle, coming around the fallen Dep's other side to hopefully fend off anyone who would disturb his brother or the fell beast. He straight up hissed at a bully that came too close. He felt a woosh of air as what he asumed was someone on their side whipped close to him in a flurry of movement. He held his ground. Dads would protect them, they would protect Dep...that was how love worked. He knew he was going to get heck later for making a target of himself but he didn't care, not a lick.

Vallen 6
Oh they had done it now! He roared and swung a stolen spear to bear, he knew not to get between Isaris and a kill, he would protect the boys and Dep, the brigands had sealed their fate. There would be more blood shed before the day was out. Isaris was usually a calm headed logical creature, Vallen filled the section on emotional frieght train buuuut the tables had just turned now they were a well oiled, well practiced fighting machine, no words need be said to communicate, each knew what the other would do. He roared again and thrust at a brute coming from Lura's blind side. "MY KIDS! MY PET!" Oh look he could still form words, that was new."

Lyco 6
He looked out at the people surrounding them and wondered if there was even an escape route, would that mean leaving Dep? He was one of them too! It made sense to keep all of their vulnerable within the lines protected by their parents, it was not yet in him to run away unless he had to to protect those around him. It was a complicated quick calculation using big variables but hey. He felt safer with Dep than without him and a part of him new the beast was somehow safer with all of them there. Protect the sore spots, live another day. That was the motto. They had come on this trip for Dep's benefit, now even if they got where they were going, Dep might no longer care and be more concerned with protecting them than finding a janarim friend. Ugh these people ruined everything!

Vallen 7
He was poised, spear ready to throw, when his mate's words penetrated the haze in his mind. "Well, it did spring up rather quickly, it seems our good record does us in good stead. Bold as brass attacking us in daylight, I say we let Dep eat two bandits and maybe they will get the hint. Better yet we should just let ALL THE CRITTERS LOOSE, with scent tracking they would mow down our problems." He wasn't serious...or was he. One could never tell when he was in a battle rage mood and they had threatened a beast in their care AND THEIR CHILDREN. The villagers were bonking bandits left and right and the view was actually funny but he refused to crack a smile outwardly.

Lyco 7
“I think we may have to postpone our original purpose to take care of our own, Dep cant choose friends if he is injured. He can sleep with us for the next forever.” He was also going to procure the hottest pepper and somehow get it into the bandits shoes, that aught to learn them about messing with his family. He hugged Dep around the neck, you are going to be okay boy, we will make sure of it. We could send for that old lady in Matori at the beast ranch, I hear she and her sons are still the beast with beast healing, if she comes by kinfa it will be fast.”
He was good with not leaving home now for quite a while and sicking radaku on anyone who was not well known to them. He had had enough of the public eye for a while.

Vallen 8
His eyes cut to his mate. What a disaster this trip had been. Information passed between them as only it could in a long mated pair. They shared something very special between them and their first priorities were family and family pets which were also family just had four legs was all. "Yes I'll go with the kids," He grabbed Isaris arm and pecked him on the cheek, a thanks for protecting the kids as only a dad could.
"We will take them all, Dep deserves a family too. I'm sure he will get along well with the old codger especially. I can come back after we see to Dep at home or she can deliver them unto us."
Either way he wanted the kids home. Only then would he feel more secure after this. "I might have some words for the local watch as well, no more bandits for us."
