Her brows rose high as she listened to what he said. “Reaghan!” Her tone held a hint of disbelief but was mostly a reprimand. “That was highly disrespectful.” Not to mention inappropriate. She would need to let her husband know about this. Though she could only imagine what his reaction would be to such a thing. “Should I ask what else you said?” Her arms crossed over her chest as she waited.

He hunched down a bit when she said his name. He already figured he’d be in trouble but that didn’t mean he liked it. “I know..” He’d known it was disrespectful when he said it but that hadn’t stopped it from coming out of his mouth. “I uh.. Called her filthy.” He cringed a bit at his own words and avoided looking at his mother altogether.

“You what!?” Well that certainly would cause someone to put hands on someone else. She looked up at the ceiling. “Blizzards above.” The woman practically swore. “You are grounded, young man.” When she finally looked back at her son she had a displeased look upon her face. “And I expect you to write an apology for your words.”

He looked at his mother with a look and opened his mouth to argue but he saw the look she was giving him and instantly shut his mouth. With a heavy sigh he nodded his head. “Yeah, okay.. That’s fair.” At least it was just a grounding and not anything else. He supposed she could load him down with chores.

“Wise choice.” She pointed back toward his room with one hand as she gave him a very stern look. She would definitely need to speak with Ergon about his behavior. Not that she was looking forward to that conversation. Once her son turned again she gave a soft sigh and sagged her body a little bit. It wouldn’t surprise her if the girl’s parents showed up to discuss what happened.
She brought one hand up to rub at her forehead lightly. "Oh boy.."
