Draven watched as Grandma Aggy took Aldara to a room and return. He had just about sunk into the pillows on the soft, his bones telling him that he should sleep. This would do him better then sleeping on the cold hard ground. Already he was feeling himself slipping into sleep before the woman came back into the room.
'So you found my dear Aldara when she was injured?' she asked poking at the fire to keep the flames high.
"More like she fell into me and I was there to break her fall." he said as the woman turned and shuffled over to her chair and sat down.
'All the same, if you hadn't been there she would still be out there. This pollen has been playing tricks on everyone. I hear it from one of the great trees of the world. One of the mother trees. I can only hope that it settles down soon.' She glances towards the window to stare out into the darkness. 'So you said that you were heading back to Zena?'
"Yes, circumstances happened and I was moved from there to Jauhar. Now I have to get back as fast as I can. I have left some things there and I worry about them." He says not wanting to go into much detail. "If you could tell me what road past here will get me there I will leave."
'Nonsense, you can sleep here and I will show you where you can get to Isd from here. It is the closest city to Sauti.' Aggy said as she looked back towards Draven, 'I wouldn't want you out there tonight, stay here and rest. You look like you have been through the depths and managed to come back.' She chuckled.
"Thank you, I don't think I could move from this spot even if I really wanted to." He chuckled as well as she moved to stretch out over the sofa.
'Then it is settled, you get some rest deary.' Aggy said as she got up and shuffled off, 'If you need anything, just give a shout.' giving one last wave Aggy vanished into her own room leaving Draven on the sofa.
Digging out his own blanket and using one of the pillows, he rolled over with his back to the fire and fell asleep. It was a blissful dreamless sleep that was shattered too soon. Or at least it felt like he had only just fallen asleep even though the sunlight was streaming in through the windows and Aggy was cooking in the kitchen. The smell of bacon and eggs filled the air making his stomach growl.
The scream that came from Aldara's room startled both him and her grandmother. Sitting up quickly and throwing his blanket off him he looked around in alarm. But something else caught his attention, the crystals on his shoulders weren't their normal dark blue. They were a lighter purple color. Frowning Draven got up from the soft and headed over towards where he had seen Aldara be taken the night before. Knocking on her door he asked,
"Everything alright in there?"

The softness of her bed was bliss and her ankle eased with the pain. Curling up under the warm blankets that she knew so well. Aldara let her worries fade away, for now. She was safe, in a house with someone that she knew. She also knew that home was indeed right around the corner as Aggy's wasn't that far from home. Nor was it too far from Isd, she was basically home already.
The sunlight hitting her face was the thing that had awakened her. Stretching, she felt refreshed and forgetting about her ankle threw her feet from the bed to stand up. Only to fall back onto the edge of her bed with a grimace. Right, she had hurt her ankle the day before and was carried here. Frowning as she looked down at the still bandaged foot she huffed, She would have to find a way to hobble home, or Aggy would get her father to carry her home. Looking up into the small mirror that hung on the opposite side of her room she blinked. Her eyes were the same bright green and her skin had its normal glow... But her hair.. The crystals they...
A scream rattled through her throat and shook those who were still asleep in the house to wakefulness. Her hair was now a different color and her crystals were a much paler pink then before. What happened to her? Was this Draven's doing? Did he do something to her? She would get her answers as he had knocked on her door.
"NO!" she shouted back as she tried standing, this time managing and hobbling over to the door. She pulled it open and glared towards Draven. "What did you do to me?!" She shouted, "No, don't even say anything. You should just leave!"
At this time Aggy shuffled from the kitchen and towards where Aldara had Draven backed up against a wall. 'Aldara!' she said scoldingly. 'Is that any way to treat a guest in my house and someone who took care of you out in the forest?'
"But Grandma! Look what he did to me! My hair is not the same and my crystals are so pale." she whined as her grandmother gave her a look over.
'I can see that you have changed some. But I wouldn't pin the blame on the boy. He has had some changes too.' Aggy looked at the crystals on his shoulders. 'Haven't you noticed that they aren't the dark blue they were last night?'
"What difference does that make?" she asked before hobbling away and closing her door. She wasn't sure how she was going to explain this to her parents.. Would they love her all the same?
'I am sorry about her, she can be rather dramatic.' Aggy said as she pulled Draven towards the kitchen.
She made breakfast for both kids, to her, though she had to deliver Aldara's to her room where she still sniffled in self pity. Aggy would have to have a stern talking to the girl. After all was said and done, Aggy showed Draven the way towards Isd.
Aldara was sitting at her window as she watched him leave. He waved back towards the house and she just sat staring. Was she that bad of a person? "Will we meet again?" she pandered to herself as she shook her head. "Likely not... Probably for the better too." she turned away from the window, their paths were too different..
