[Aselia 6]

"She's as good as mine now." Aselia murmured with a smile. Taking advantage of the growing freedom if her arm. Irritated when his arm moved around her. Pulling the axe further away from her body she rotated the weapon. Shifting a leg to create a pressure point against his knee. Turning her head to the side she jerked it swiftly towards Lynxs face. It was hard to off balance such an opponent. It wasn't often she met someone she had to put this much effort into.

"So, just your pet then?" Aselia sneered. "Not that she's worth much more than that. Then again, neither are you." Shifting her full weight back into the hybrid Aselia took the opportunity to reach for her second axe.

Popoie continued flying with the struggling hybrid, settling in a tree just out of reach of the Janarim. Leaning forward with her beak snapping to catch the dangling Teiluj.

Teiluj kept struggling against the confines of the whip around her ankles. Grunting when she slammed into the rough bark of a tree. Winded from the impact Teiluj's reflexes managed to dodge the first strike from the bird, narrowly missing a second time before her arm was caught in the kinfa's powerful beak. Her legs finally free of the constraints. Teiluj ignored the pain in her arm, Lynx was in more danger than she was. Fighting an Alkidike warrior bent on revenge, let alone an extremist. All she could do was fear the outcome.

Looking towards Banshee, Teiluj pointed towards Lynx. "Help him!" She pleaded.

Banshee was still trying to get at the bird, snapping jaws as he leaped as high as he could go. With him being a ground mount he couldn't reach the same heights. Of course he heard Teiluj try to command him but it wouldn't work.

Lynx grunted when the hilt of one axe hit him in the forehead due to the way his head was angled. "Sorry, we crystal crawlers don't show the likes of you honor. You don't deserve it. You're not good enough." He felt a sharp pain in his side from her other hand swinging and the added impact from their fall didn't help.

He turned his head to look at Teiluj and the predicament she was in. That damned bird. Lynx was desperate to help her so he did the one thing he knew would put him at a disadvantage. He wrapped his legs around Aselia to keep her somewhat pinned to him but released her with his arms. He needed them free. Quickly Lynx grabbed his other dagger and flung it at Popoie with the precision he'd been taught his whole life. The Kinfa was going to end up stuck somewhere since he'd aimed for dead center.

At the same time he yelled at his mount. "Banshee! Occidere!" He'd given the janarim the kill order.

Popoie held firm with her grasp on Teiluj. Wings flapping just enough to keep the janarims attention on her. She was unaffected by the hybrids fist slamming into her beak. The ripping of feathers however irritated the bird.

"Your kind shouldn't even be allowed breath." Feeling a bit smug with Lynxs release, the alkidike twisted her body sharply. Her elbow shoved into Lynxs head again. She needed to get him off her if she wanted to finish this. She hadn't been able to see the dagger moving towards popoie.

The hallow sound of a dagger sinking between the avians rib cage, was immediately followed by the birds shrieking. Wings flapping aimlessly, struggling against the object. Unable to keep balanced on its current perch the kinfa tumbled to the ground. Teiluj still clutched into its talons. It writhed and squirmed snapping towards the janarim with it's beak in its feeble attempts to ward the beast off.

Aselia screamed at the rage building inside her. Horrified by the scene of her flighted companion. Her entire attention was turned towards the hybrid leaning into him with the intent to pin him to the ground. Her body jerked and twisted till they were face to face. Taking a swing with both axes, fighting to lock Lynxs wrists between ground and hilt. Her fingers laced around the hybrids neck she squeezed with a growing snarl. "I'll take you out first then. And make her watch."

She was too distracted now to notice the janarim and hybrid behind her, she didn't care now. She was blinded by the rage of her injured bird.

Freeing herself from the kinfa's hold Teiluj staggered to her feet as best she could. Her one arm dangled beside her, the other holding the side the Kinfa had pierced. Her eyes were clouded with tears, her golden eyes fell upon the sight. "Lynx!" Her scream filled the air around them, her body bending forward with the effort it took to call out to him. He couldn't be beaten, he was stronger than their assailant. Turning to look back pleadingly look at Banshee, Teiluj's eyes settled on the knife embedded in the Kinfa's chest. That would work.

Trembling hands gripped the hilt of Lynx's knife. Prying it free from it's current sheath. Teiluj had never felt so much anger before, she had never before felt the blood lust to cause anyone real harm until now. Her first few steps in the direction of the fighters were slow, painful, uneven and unbalanced. She knew time was running out, she needed to react quicker.

Clenching her teeth against the pain in her side and arm, Teiluj ran forward the dagger aimed straight for the Alkidike. Leaning into the hilt as it slipped it's way through flesh. Her eyes catching hold of Lynx's injuries. She would have to work on healing that. Sagging to the ground Teiluj used what little ability she had to kick out into Aselia's elbow. Forcing at least one hand off of Lynx to allow him room to breath. Gripping an axe she yanked with all her might to shift it out of the ground. "You better be alive Lynx. I can't loose you, you're too important to me."

Her energy nearly spent Teiluj crumpled to the ground. Her breath heavy as she stared at the Alkidike. Reaching out to touch Lynx, she began her healing spell. "Xy luzd dtaz zjxqq di txuq dtx wxxj nioswz" Teiluj began to chant, her head feeling heavy with the cost of the spell.

Hearing Teiluk scream out the name of his owner, Banshee paused in his attack of the Kinfa to look toward Lynx. He needed to make sure the earthling was okay. The tone Teiluj had used didn't seem right to the janarim's ears. When he saw the Alk ontop of Lynx he growled, deep and low - a warning. But Tei got to her first. The beast watched as the blade was driven into the attacker's shoulder.

His vision had begun to blurr and black dots danced across his line of sight. He knew he was losing consciousness and fast. Too much more and his body would give up. His muscles wouldn't listen to him without oxygen. His eyes watered and slowly rolled backwards as they shut. At least he'd managed to tell Banshee to kill. He knew the beast would continue on until either both attackers were done or Banshee couldn't move anymore.

Then suddenly a gasp of air hit him and the pressure on his throat was gone. Lynx's eyes flew open and he looked around to see what was going on. He caught sight of Aselia going after Teiluj again and he moved, without thinking he forced his body up so that he could wrap his free arm around the alk and flung them both back onto the ground away from the healer. A grunt escaped him at the harsh greeting the ground gave him. He was going to be bruised for months after this he was sure.

Then he caught the sound of Tei's chant and he shook his head lightly. "Don't.." He croaked out, his voice painful after the near strangulation. "Not here." Lynx worried she'd pass out and be unable to run if she needed to.

She had been so close to ending the stronger hybrid. Aselia grit her teeth as she was forced to release him. Jerking at the sudden movement from the man. How could he even move!? Her eyes grew wide at his approach the wind rushing out of her as she found herself being shoved back into the ground.

The blade sinking deeper into her shoulder from the impact. Her head met the ground knocking the consciousness from her. Her body growing limp in the muddy terrain.
