Avari was about to land a final kick when he stopped halfway, leg still in the air. He planted it down and stepped back for a second, an eyebrow raised as Rex began to chuckle.
"Wha-what are you doing? What are you!?"
Fusion had an anime moment against a villain for a second as he honed in on his opponent, looking for any weaknesses.
After a moment or two he stepped back before rushing in for a Shining Wizard attempt!

Kobra merely laughed at Avari's questions. He extended his arms, welcoming whatever punishment that Fusion could throw at him. Determined to prove to the Serpent that he can weather any storm. The Shining Wizard connected and although his brain was too rattled from the blow to laugh, he was still smiling as he dropped to the mat.

Avari was a little flustered by what was happening, and it showed in his face. The crowd were also cheering, but many of them were just as perplexed by the situation, some a little creeped out by the laughing and smiling masochist taking this punishment.
Fusion sprung to his feet, rang at the nearest turnbuckle.. leaping on top, he attempted a Moonsault!
If successful, he would immediately hook a leg for a pinfall attempt.

Rex stayed still, the cobwebs still clearing in his skull. As Avari ran to and up the turnbuckle, Ramona started to pound on the mat. If she could, she would be chanting as the rest of their family did. Her lack of a voice didn't matter because despite the moonsault connecting, Rex still managed to kick out right as the ref hit the mat for 1.
As he kicked out, Kobra started to laugh again.

Avari leaned down on his knees after the kick out from Kobra, and looked at the demonic man in front of him. But this wasn't a man at all, this was a monster, a monstrosity.
Fusion turned to ref, slightly out of frustration, and slightly out of concern.
Looking back at his opponent, Avari went to do what his father would have done - and attempted to lock in a grounded Ankle Lock!

Wait...wait. Ramona's continuous pounding on the apron in their corner was causing Rex to feel better and rejuvenated at a quicker rate. But he knew he had to lie in wait for the right moment. Then it came when Avari went after his leg. As Avari sought to lock in an ankle lock, he would attempt to counter it by lifting his other leg and kicking at Avari to force him away.

Avari was just about to lock in the hold when..
"Fu-"
Fusion was kicked away, as he rolled and got to one knee. He looked over at his opponent expectantly, seeing as he had decided to suddenly fight back.

The pounding on the apron got quicker and quicker. The faster that Ramona pounded, the quicker that Rex got to his feet. As soon as he was standing, she went silent. Rex looked at Avari and there was a difference in his eyes. They weren't full of the psychotic glee he displayed, despite his smile. they were locked on to Avari like a predator eyeing a piece of meat.
He marched fast toward Avari and attempted to lock him in a collar-and-elbow tie up. If he was successful, he would attempt to transition it to an Irish Whip to the ropes and then try to charge and drill him with a violent clothesline if he was able to whip him at all.

Avari stood still as the hulking man came towards him, locking eyes with him. Almost like a deer in headlights he waited for his fate, as he was immediately locked in and thrown against the far ropes with an Irish Whip.
Coming back on the rebound, it felt like his head had been ripped off with a vicious Clothesline!
Avari's entire body went backwards from the sheer force, turning 180 degrees as he landed on his front, groaning after the impact.

Kobra stared down at Avari, the smile disappearing from his face as the other man was down. He was faster and more agile than Kobra was. A buzzing little gnat that had to be crushed. Rex moved to Avari's legs and attempted to stomp hard on Avari's ankle. If he wanted to crush the bug, he had to keep him grounded.

Avari cried out in pain as the stomp connected with his ankle, his yells echoing across the arena. At this point the fans began a jeer, sending a chorus of 'booooo's to the monstrosity in the ring.
What was this .. man!?

Rex didn't waste much time after the stomp connected. He would try to do the same to the other ankle, and then would attempt to violently stomp on Avari's knee if the first stomp was successful.

Avari felt stomp after stomp as the pain inflicted was hard.. harder than most people he had fought in this company so far, and that was saying something.
But he had to try something, anything.. Fusion attempted to roll away and, if successful, would go completely out of the ring for a small break to compose himself.

Rex looked to Ramona and the pair of them gave a silent nod as Avari rolled away. Ramona would skip around the ring and stop near Avari to give him an intense and creepy stare with her patented off-kilter smile. She would lurk in front of him and keep close to try and distract him, while Rex slid under the ropes as well and stalked around the ring. When he was on the right side of the ring, Rex would charge, prompting Ramona to jump back just as Rex tried to catch Avari in the side of the head with a Big Boot.

It was at this point that Avari felt like he was in a horror film.. he had just got away from the monstrosity in the ring, and immediately was eyeballed by the creepy one outside.
But then she moved. Why did she-
Thud.
Avari's body hit the mats quickly, his body bouncing a couple of times on the way down. The crowd nearby shouted and hurled abuse at Rex, and tried to cheer for their fan favourite to get back up and fight.
