"Oh don't encourage him." Whispered Imani with a groan towards Willow's pirate comment, his exasperation somewhat playful and yet there was some actual concern that there could be something wrong here. Even if there wasn't, what show owner would want some teen going through and rambling that these were pillaged goods? He swore if they ever got into some sort of ridiculous situation one day it would be because of Ronan. It wouldn't even be a gamble to guess such a thing at this rate, it was more of a prediction than anything else.

Imani picked up a bandanna, running his fingers over the silk material as he held it up for further inspection. Maybe this wouldn't be such a bad purchase if his sibling wanted to keep some sunlight off during a warmer day? "So, are you local or traveling through? If you've shopped here before maybe we have a chance of not getting thrown out." He teased lightly, still somewhat on edge as he kept an eye out in case someone did decide to come their way especially with Ronan playing around with knives. "I have the feeling we may have to wrap up our purchases here soon and get off this street quickly."

Willow couldn't help giggling at the reactions her comment got. She looked around for any sign of the people who ran the shop, but the four of them were the only souls in sight. Still.. "I certainly wasn't saying pirates run this place," she said loudly with her hands up innocently. "There's just a lot of cool things here to see." She gave the shop one more glance before she laughed at herself. She felt silly doing that... but she didn't want to get mixed up with actual pirates. She would probably look pretty awesome decked out in pirate garb though...

"Pure local," she replied with a playful touch to her hair. "I've passed through here a few times, bought an item or two. I doubt they'll kick ya'll out for a little playful talk. Knock over the merchandise though; that's a different story." She looked around the three boys and grinned. "What about you? Can't say I've ever seen any of you around here."

"I'd rather not fight at all," he offered with a snort. "Mom would have our hides anyway if we got into trouble out here." He looked at the indicated hat and rolled his eyes. "Might fit, but not really my style."

Speaking of style though, he continued on down the aisle with a shake of his head. Hats, blades, notebooks, glassware, and was that jewelry... all in one aisle? "How do they manage to keep track of their merchandise if everything's always changing and laid out so.. inconsistently?" It was completely confusing to look at the wild array of merchandise in this aisle alone. How did the shop owners keep up? It would be interesting to talk to them about it! ..Maybe that was just him though.

Ronan's lips pursed into a pout, the teen reluctantly putting down all of the throwing knives save for one. Maybe he had hoped to find pirates here for a good story, but the thought of his mother's wrath made him rethink such desires....at least while the others were around to tell on him later. Now if he ran into them on his own, that would make for an even better story once he kicked their arses!

He shot a look behind him, his frown growing at the sight of the other two dallying behind them. "If yer gonna buy somethin' then ya should move faster! We don't wanna be in this shop all day." Ronan grumbled before looking back towards Mako with a raised brow. "It may just be pure luck. Why are ya wantin' to ask them for their techniques on store organizing?" Was his brother interested in things like that? He supposed being a merchant wasn't an awful thing, they technically were a merchant ship more than anything like pirates themselves. Though Ronan didn't know much about what went on with the organizing aspects of everything, he just kept working to learn the various tasks of keepng the ship going instead.

"Well that's a relief." Replied Imani with a soft chuckle as he listened to Willow explain she was both local and had been here before. "We're not exactly local, we just come through here a couple times a year by ocean. Our family works on The Misty Maiden which is a merchant ship, not pirates." He added teasingly."Hopefully being a local means the same for you. We didn't think about that twist, did we?" A pirate escorting them through their warehouse just to betray them by the end of the day? If it wasn't for the busy street right outside the possibility could have maybe been a bit more believable, but since they were already in the midst of things the hybrid just had to have some faith that Willow wasn't going to turn on them.

All he could do was shake his head at the urging from Ronan, the teen calling back out towards the brothers. "Well, stop picking through every sharp object so that we can finish browsing and go next." He flashed a grin, reaching over to pick up a another notebook with herbs embroidered along the cover. That one could be a nice gift for Del, to record any of their experiments in. He kept hold of it along with the other notebook and a set of pens that he had found earlier, Imani looking between the group as he got closer. "I hope you're not actually buying all of those knives I saw you flashing around, Ronan" At the end of the day, Imani was actually still wary of causing a big scene even if it did look like they were alone for the moment in this section of the store.

Mako felt the heat rise to his cheeks and he shrugged as casually as he could. Despite the fact that they were on a merchant ship, he felt self-conscious about his interests in the more "boring" aspect of the job. "I guess I'm just surprised it seems to be working for them. The ship would fall apart if it looked like this." He moved on down the aisle quickly and took a guess by switching over to the aisle to his left to come back around in.

Stacks of small trinket boxes, dishes, hair brushes, and.. sticks? What was in those jars?! Huh. Maybe he'd feel better about buying from someplace without mystery jars...

Willow laughed with delight. Ah, so she almost had pirates on her hands! She knew there were strange things in this shop, but who would have thought the fellow customers would be surprising as well? "Nah, you're closer to being one than me. My dad's a healer, and I work at his clinic. Down on the edge of town if you ever need something. It's not big, but he knows what he's doing, and the others who rent space from him are bona fide healers, too."

She looked up at Ronan and snorted. He really was a rambunctious one. "So what is it that has you so eager to get out of this shop? Got a girl you're eager to meet up with?" she teased lightly.

For once Ronan's expression softened at the sight of his brother's flush. Oh for Pete's sake. The other hybrid followed after his brother, bumping against him as he reached for what looked like a fancy ink quill. "Well take some notes, nothin' wrong with wantin' ta be a good merchant." He mumbled, thinking that at least someone had to take care of such things while the others took care of the physical work and fighting. Was there a hint of respect towards the work, especially when Ronan struggled with numbers and all that sort of stuff? Perhaps, not that Ronan would openly admit to such a thing.

"Take a quill, seems ta fit ya." Ronan wiggled the thing against his brother's cheek in an attempt to bother him before handing it over, a smirk on his lips as if he hadn't had a moment of kindness. Though the smirk only grew at Willow's teasing, the teen turning around to look at her boldly. "Perhaps." He acknowledged with a look of interest, the teen never ignoring a chance to hit on a pretty girl or sneak in a chance at a date. "Unless ya wanna tell me that a date with ya would be better instead. I can always rearrange my plans."

"Is that so? I'll keep that in mind if I ever need help and want to avoid the wrath of our own healer on board." Imani smiled warmly, his interest in healing commonly known though the presence of an atlas on a nearby shelf also caught his attention. "Healers are always important, a clinic can be just as exciting as a life on the ocean from what I gather." You never knew what type of patient would be walking in next, after all. It was almost like waking up one morning to a storm at sea or even a pirate ship on the horizon. They had out sailed a couple of those before, their navigator's ability to summon winds helping the Misty Maiden to out pace most ships.

Imani rolled his eyes at Ronan's response, the teen placing a hand on Willow's shoulder. "You probably already guessed it but that's just a lot of hot air." He shot Ronan a look, trying to figure out if he was annoyed or mostly amused with all the attempts at flirting. "Either way you're more than welcome to join us. I think there was a cafe around the corner that we wanted to check out, some coffee and sweets sound good after a morning of shopping around." He glanced towards Ronan and Mako, hoping that the invitation was alright for her to continue with them once they wrapped up here.

Mako looked up curiously at the playful bump and the surprisingly encouraging words. A small, appreciative smile rose as he picked up the ink well that went with the quill. Notes, huh? "I just might." It would be fun to share his findings with the crew that worked with stocking the ship. They would probably scratch their heads just like he was!

The tickling got a laugh to squeak out of him before he accepted the feather. The coal pencils were easy to get and store, but there really was something special about writing with a quill...

He sighed as things went back to normal, but a lighter smile remained. "I'll be ready to eat," he called over, making no objection to the extra company. With the other two around, there was plenty of options for distractions.

Willow paused a moment before a laugh rang out. "My father can be quite stern when he want to be, but I doubt any of his patients would describe him as wrathful. Your healer must need to be tough to work on a ship like that. I would certainly agree that it can get rather intense at times." Whether it was a client near death or near an angry outburst, exciting was certainly one way to describe the work.

She chuckled at Imani's commentary and nodded with amusement. Hot air or not, she enjoyed some playful banter~ After a playful look at Ronan, she pressed her lips out into a pout and shook her head. "Now that's no way to entice a lady. How do I know you won't just cancel on me the next time you're enticed by a pretty face?" She fluffed her hair and turned to start toward the cash registers. "At this rate, I do believe I will be sitting next to Mako while we eat." The boy had seemed utterly shy to her, and she could only imagine the adorable shade of red now heating up his face.

"I'd have to find a face prettier than yers first! Gonna be hard ta beat." Called back Ronan with a cheeky grin before pouting at the fact that she had chosen Mako out of all people to sit next to. Oh come on! It was bad enough that Imani was pickin' on him too! "Well I can sit on the other side." He commented after another moment, finding a solution without throwing too much of a fit even as they started towards the front so that they could check out and go get that food. His arms were somehow full of goods already, the teen ready to spend a chunk of his savings on various items that he thought would look cool in his collection and potentially work as gifts for others whenever they visited family.

"You have no idea." Imani glanced over his shoulder playfully almost as if afraid Fran would appear simply because he had mentioned her. The older Geian truly had a frightful reputation on their ship and none dared to mess with her! Maybe save for Ronan but he always paid for it every time. Still, he could only shake his head with amusement at the playful banter going around and as Imani proceeded towards the store keep he couldn't help nudging Mako. "Looks like you win this round, careful for next time." Ronan would probably be heated and competitive for the rest of the day if it meant a chance at impressing Willow, even against his own brother! Not that it bothered Imani since it meant that at least the rest of the afternoon would be full of amusing situations, as long as he wasn't directly involved that was.
