Quiana quirked an interested brow but opted to say nothing about the other Elidae's flustered response. "I see. Hopefully your travels go well." She mused finallly with a nod. She had enough drama on her own at the moment, all things considered, so for once she opted to leave curiosity alone. Once she resolved her own family's mystery then she would gladly follow up to see if the other Elidae had protected her friend well.
"Fair enough. We could linger, there's some time before either of us should return to the ship....if the other Kahi shows then we can capture them as well." Quiana glanced over towards the other Elidae, a small smile on her lips. Just in case...there could be a chance the other thief would at least return to see if any of the loot remained, right? "Obviously though we'd have to get acquainted with some bushes over there or whatever else we could hide behind while waiting." She added quickly, glancing around as the other Elidae picked up the lost treasures.
"That's what I'm going to find out. I may have some distant relatives there...I'm curious to see if that's true." Quiana admitted after a moment as she tossed a necklace that had tumbled into the sands towards the other girl. "If so then it'll truly be an interesting experience. Ah, my name is Quiana by the way. Would be a shame to travel together without at least knowing each other's names, right?" Perhaps a slight diversion to her own quest, but an introduction was always due unless they wanted to be guessing later about who they had truly traveled with.

"If we found a nice enough spot to camp out it might not be so bad. Depending on how soon you need to get back to the other sister you're traveling with this would at least be a way to get away from the docks." For Vetra that was a win win. She didn't necessarily enjoy the idea of hiding away, but that also meant she didn't have to meander around crowds.
"The name's Vetra." She paused long enough to pick up the necklace as curiosity set in. Family in Matori that she wasn't sure about? That was a story, but not one Vetra had any intention of diving into. "I never really saw myself leaving the islands so having a few others around that are in a similar way is kind of reassuring."

"I think it'll be fine if I linger a bit longer." Replied Quiana with a small smile. If anything it was a good excuse to pass time instead of simply dying from boredom. "I'll give it a couple of hours, surely someone will notice before then and we can go on our way to get supplies or something." She nodded as she located a bit of brush that they could easily lay behind.
"Glad to hear it. We can at least watch each other's backs on the ocean, makes the journey a lot easier to stomach." Hopefully at least. Even Quiana wasn't certain how ocean sick any of them would get. It was one thing to swim and to live next to the ocean...another thing entirely to journey over it.

"If the locals didn't get a tip off to follow two Elidae across the docks onto the beach then they'll never find their stuff." Honestly there was no way they should have been missed. So maybe they were just getting their weapons together? Most had been merchants or shop goers so it was possible they were expecting a bigger assault.
This was definitely going to be something Vetra left out of her letters back home, but in her stories to Enya it might be a little embellished. Like, maybe she took the shot and not Quiana.
Just maybe.

"It's strange how blind others can be when they don't wish to deal with trouble." Quiana answered with a shrug. "Either way it'll be entertaining if we manage to snag a second thief today." She grinned towards Vetra before gesturing for her to follow along, the Elidae eager to see where the rest of the afternoon went before sailing away to foreign lands first thing in the morning.
