As a writer and a young man, he was always hungry. "Ooh good material, my sincere thanks, did you happen to catch the culprits themselves?"
"Food sounds delightful, could you hear my stomach rumble from there?"
Salazar took this moment to finish his inspection of the male holding his lead and licked him from his torso up to his face. Pleased with the being that stood beside him, he was picky with his earthlings and aishans and indeed kahikinians, but well he liked this one, small as he currently was compared to his old master. Could this be his new master? Sala would like that if he couldnt' keep old master. Old master had many beasties and Skiyaii always gave him stink eye even though the old white janarim was older than dirt and retired.

"Alas I am also hungry so it may have been my own stomach I heard." He waved to the assisstant to help him with all but the janarim. Once everything was put away and the critters were on their way home which wasn't too far he led Morleas to the food mecha area. "I'll get a snack for your new warm and fuzzy too." He ordered a big side of meat and handed it to Morleas to present to Salazar.
"Way to a beasts heart is much similar to the way of a man's heart." He grinned at the boy holding the large chunk of flesh and bone.
He would do well with a janarim, he hadn't even flinched at holding the meat, though it was rather heavy. "Good lad."

Morleas braced himself for the meat, he usually picked out smaller pieces for himself but well Sala had had a long day too and he definitely deserved the treat. "We thank you heartily." He offered the chunk to the beast as they paused at a table. Sala took it delicately and lay down to enjoy crunching it into smaller more manageable chunks to swallow.
"He is rather magnificent, and the best way to a mans heart is through the ribs." He was slightly unsure what Ushi meant but well he hadn't gotten out all that much. He had a pretty sheltered life before moving to Matori, a janarim had the potential to change all of that and his mind was already alight with all the places that he and his four legged friend might go.
It was also pretty convinient that the beast could hunt for himself because it looked like he could eat a lot on the daily.

"Food Morleas, is the best way to a man's heart unless you want to kill him. Janarim have armor anyway." He laughed heartily and flagged a server down to attend them.
He was so hungry he was going to order them a nice platter and enjoy the gift of the young man's company before he went home to the ranch and his most lovely wife, he would bring her home some food so she didn't have to stress over it after working in the forge all day. He couldn't wait to tell her the fantastic news.
Salazar went to a good home and there was free food for her in the deal. He wasn't sad he hadn't made any money it truly made him feel better that he hadn't charged his friend to take on a large carnivorous creature. He felt like his Dad would be very proud.

He laughed too. Food! Food was always the answer, he really should have known. He looked over at the happy bone chawing janarim and was pleased when a huge platter of meat veggies and rice all done up pretty landed between him and Ushiwa. "AHHH there is so much of it! I truly owe you for today. Anything you need, I will do my very best!"
The two and the beast tucked down to a very hearty meal and neither was all that enthusiastic about travel after so they had a drink or two until they could move and swagger home.
Salazar slept beside his bed. It was cramped but he found the breathing of the beast beside him most comforting. He had a big fangy body guard now. He was so very happy.
