Alfina chuckled lightly. She had certainly seen a few meals that were more for seeing than eating... "It adds to the experience of the meal. It's much more enjoyable to eat something that looks good than something that looks bland and boring." She looked to the youngling with a smile. "Putting the effort into a meal makes it that much more satisfying in the end."

Kyrrha narrowed her eyes and looked at the flowers again. Would she really enjoy the meals more if they looked prettier? "Mata and Oma don't really have time to make everything look fancy," she murmured with a hint of disappointment. "Does it take a lot of practice?"

Alfina hummed softly. "I guess it takes a little practice, but it more depends on what you think is pretty. It doesn't have to be complex to look nice." All this talk of food preparation... it made her belly clench with longing. Maybe she would buy a few flowers as well to fancy up tonight's dessert?

Kyrrha perked up with hope. "Okay! I'll get Mata to buy some of these, too! And I'll help her make dinner pretty tonight." She wanted to do whatever she could to help her family be happy. If that meant taking time to put flowers on food in some pretty way, then she could do it! "Thank you for helping me." It really was strange to talk to earthlings... but hopefully it will have been worth it!

Alfina chuckled lightly at the girl's enthusiasm. "I'm sure this Mata and everyone else in your family will be pleasantly surprised, and appreciative of your work." At least, she hoped so. Would Elarians really appreciate the effort? The youngling seemed to think so... Perhaps it was time she learned a little more about the Elarians. "You're very welcome. I hope you have fun with it."
