"Gotcha." Naia gave the youngling a sheepish smile. "I'm still learning, so what differences do you have?" She was geniunely curious. "Like I have fins and can be underwater for a very long time...are there differences like that between Aishans and earthlings?" She wondered if earthlings had those interesting antenna too.
"That would be great. I haven't eaten toay so any food sounds amazing." Replied Naia, not even thinking about how strange it may be for a youngling to appear with a battered hapuna. What did she know about Aishan culture, after all? This whole world was still so new to her! "Let's go find him then. Should we give it a name? Or just say crabby?" She joked lightly as she started to move forward, slipping more into the water so that she could help gather whatever they needed.

It was inconceivable to Kyrrha that anyone wouldn't know the difference between Aishans and Earthlings. Must be that underwater living. "The antennae are only on us Aishans. We're a lot bigger, and stronger. Earthlings have types called males, too. I'm still not sure what they're for, but we don't have males." Males... the great mystery of the Earthling species.
She glanced up at the sun and back to Naia. "You didn't eat at all yet? I'll make sure you get some food then! Food is important for energy and growing strong." The offer to name the crab made her snort a little. "Maybe just crabby. It's going into my soup. Naming it would be weird." As Naia went to search for items, Kyrrha headed in the direction she had watched the crab go.

"Gotcha." Naia nodded as if she were mentally taking notes of everything. "I wonder where the Kahi fall into your descriptions? Some of us can be really tall and big, while I'm one of the smaller races. But we're super quick in the water, faster than most!" When they weren't lazy about on the beach sunbathing that was. So many of her family members were artisans, something that Naia could never sit still long enough for. She did chuckle at the description of males before shaking her head. "We're very flexible with gender as Kahi, we have males and females with others in between that claim neither."
The eagerness of the youngling to help her out brought a smile to Naia's lips. What a sweetie! She truly had been lucky to end up on this particular beach today! "Alright, then let's work on some food. Thank you." She nodded her appreciation, a chuckle leaving her as the girl accepted her crabby name for the escaped creature. As she slipped beneath the water she grabbed some seaweed and started twisting it together into a makeshift net. "You think it went that way?" She asked as she started to wade closer, preparing to go beneath the water for a better look.

"Mata likes swimming a lot. She made sure my sisters and I all learned swimming, too. I heard heard the Kakahas were really good at swimming. Mata says you're even better than her, so you must be really good!" The gender comment was both confusing and fascinating. However, the hunt for the crab was on! She waded through with what she thought was a fair amount of grace, but watching Naia glide through the shallows... she felt downright clunky!
"Yup. It came this way, but I don't know where exactly it went after..." No matter what though, she was going to find that crab!

"Oh good. We are recognized!" Naia beamed at the compliment, even though she did enjoy showing off what she could do it was nice to have someone express faith in her ability from the beginning. "If you like swimming then we can swim after we eat. I found a couple of interesting places around this cove when I explored this morning." It was partly why she hadn't eaten yet, the girl had been too distracted finding out what she could about the area first.
"Hmm." Naia pursed her lips thoughtfully before nodding. "Alright, crabby." She called out to the water, winking towards Kyrrha before going under to look around. A few moments later she emerged again, shaking her head and letting out a sigh. "I saw him but he scurried away, I'll be right back!" And with that she went below the surface again.

The offer to swim was met with a smile. "That would be fun. I can see if my sister wants to come, too. I bet she'd like you."
The hunt for crabby continued. She followed after Naia as far as she could, but soon enough she was floating instead of walking. She made her way over to one of the rocks and climbed up to get a better vantage point. She watched Naia's figure intently as she slipped through the water as though they were one and the same. Surely even her Mata would be impressed!

Aha! Naia spotted crabby after a few minutes of swimming. She did feel a but playful though, eager to pull away from some of her travel stress, and so once she had secured the menace the play begin. "Eep!" Naia yelled playfully towards the Elaria. "He's fighting back! Quick come help!"

The call made Kyrrha stand up straight with concern. Oh, wait... She giggled lightly when she realized the other's tone was playful. "I'm coming!" she called out. She splashed back into the water and charged over to Naia as quick as she could. "Crabby, you leave Naia alone!" she demanded firmly.

"Right!" Naia grinned, happy that the youngling had caught on. "Oh, oh!" She pretended to be slowly sinking. "He's got me good!" She yelled dramatically holding out a hand. "Remember meeee."

Kyrrha gasped dramatically and reached out to grab Naia's hand. "No, don't give up! I've got you." She ducked under the water to plant her feet as firmly as she could and kicked with all her might to try pulling Naia back toward dry land. "We'll get crabby if we work together." Just like her family always said.. anything could be done if they were together.

Naia playfully acted out like she was being slowly tugged down into the water, the hapuna going up and down as she resisted. But she took Kyrrha's hand, grabbed the net with the actual grab in the other and propelled them both forward towards the shore. "My hero." She teased once they got there. "Got him!"

Since they did swim, Kyrrha had gotten practice for various water-based emergencies. This wasn't exactly an emergency, but she could still use what she knew. Naia made it easy anyway, following along rather than being dragged like a log. She panted as though exhausted when they reached where she could freely stand and put her hands confidently onto her hips. "Just doing my duty!" She leaned forward to peer at the crab and pointed with her still sore finger. "And you... are you ready to become soup, you meanie?"

"Are you certain you're not a Kahi?" Joked Naia as she rested on the beach, admittedly more worn out than she would like. It was hard to hide her actual exhaustion, the hapuna's journey finally starting to catch up with her after all that adrenaline but she was doing her best so that the young Elaria wouldn't worry. She looked towards the captured crab with a chuckle. "I don't think anyone is ready for that. Would you ever be?"

Kyrrha giggled and shook her head. She was definitely pure Elarian! No doubt about that!
"I wouldn't want to prepare to be soup," she admitted with a purse of her lips. Now a somewhat concerned expression crossed her features. "Crabs can't actually understand us, right? He doesn't know what I'm talking about?"

"You sure? Culd be warm and cozy." Teased Naia before shaking her head. "Yeah, you're fine...I think." She narrowed her gaze and approached the grab. "Can you, lil guy?" A moment of hesitation before silence and she shook her head. "Nah"
