“How exciting. I think of your family pretty often,” Eziya admitted, setting down a pot of tea as she sat across from Xariy in the adjacent chair. That sounded a bit odd, really, but it was true! They were her first serious patients after all, and they’d gotten so big! That and she liked seeing their family around and wondered what it would be like to have her own. Which was a bit embarrassing to consider.

“Hopefully in a positive manner,” Xariy laughed, rubbing the back of her head. She didn’t care what people thought of her individually, but if anyone ever said anything bad about her kids that was an entirely different story now. Not that she thought Eziya would. She seemed way too sweet to say anything mean about her kids.

"Oh yes! Absolutely! Really just thinking about family life in general. Serr has his aunt and his sort of brother, but other than that we don't really have any sort of familial connections. My family is not in the picture, nor do I necessarily want them to be," Eziya explained, folding her hands into her lap. "It's just interesting getting to see your children grow. Not something I'd really thought of until I started assisting you."

"I see. Well I'm glad we could give you something to consider?" No, that sounded wrong. Or well, not wrong, but awkward. This entire situation was shaping to be that way despite her best efforts to not let it get that way. Maybe she wasn't good at speaking with people like she'd originally thought. Her first encounter with Kauff had been her attacking him, so maybe that was how she managed others. Though she wasn't going to attack Eziya. Unless....no definitely not.

"Much to consider! It's a positive! Serr and I tend to wander a lot, so this gives us a bit to think about. Family life and all that. I haven't said any of this to him, of course, not sure sure how he would react to it. I think it would be positive. Well, I hope it would, but it's hard to say. We've never really brought it up to each other," she shrugged.

"The two of you have...been together a while, yeah? I think whatever you decide he'd be happy with. I don't think he would have spent this much time around you if he wanted to suddenly jump the ship and run off into the sunset," Xariy chuckled, imagining Kauff doing something similar. But he had stayed. Despite their tentative arrangement at first. "I don't think he's the type to run."

"Yes, you're probably right on that one. Serr likes to fidget of course, but he isn't one to just run off and leave me by myself. He's very helpful with every endeavor and always willing to teach me something he knows if I ask," Eziya praised him, feeling a bit shy talking about her thoughts to Xariy. "I think he'd be a great dad. He's very patient."

"Better than Kauff, at least when it comes to patience. I don't consider him to be a patient sort at all, though he does his best. I think I've grown a bit more patient, but you sort of have to be patient when robbing people and general banditry. I think that helped," Xariy replied, lifting her shoulder in a half shrug. She could assume Serr had gotten some of that patience from waiting for targets at least.

"He's more patient than I am. I'm the impatient one between the two of us, I think. Lots of energy always. I can't escape it!" Eziya laughed, running her hand along her braid. "I think it comes from always wanting to adventure. That was my goal for a long time. Seek new things, explore all the world. And I did do that, but I wanted to help people too. So I decided to heal. EVentually a traveling healing business is my goal. Like what I do now but on the road."

Xariy thought Eziya would do well with her business on the road. Passing through town selling her wares and helping out those who could ask. She didn't imagine it would make her much money given she was a kind soul and would probably do it out of the goodness of her heart, but she had her partner for that. "I think someone like you can do whatever they put their mind to."

"Someone like me? Is that an insult or a compliment?" Eziya asked in a teasing tone, winking at her. "I will take it as a compliment even if it isn't, though I doubt you would insult me in my own shop."

"Oh! That's very kind of you to say! I do try my best though I don't know if I always succeed in what I do. I'd like to say I'm intentional about my actions, but I may not always do it," Eziya admitted.
