Lioe emptied his whole glass in a few long pulls and immediately refilled it again. “I’m sure it felt selfless to you. Next time, you should listen when someone tells you they don’t want to do something.” Had he had fun?! What sort of question was that? He narrowed his eyes and leaned forward challengingly. “None.”

Willow’s eyes widened slightly. None? Did.. he really mean that? “Surely you enjoyed it a little…” Now she leaned forward to meet Lioe’s challenge. “Can you honestly tell me that you had zero fun at all? Dancing like no one was watching? Getting off your butt and moving your body? Having contact with another person?” She cocked her head coyly. “No fun whatsoever?”

Lioe impulsively leaned back when Willow met his gaze to lean in. As it was, he was proud of himself for standing up for himself as he had so far. Where other people's stares were like nails boring into him, hers was a slip of ribbon, somehow intense and gentle at the same time. His cheeks heated again and he turned to face his glass. “If I tell you I might have enjoyed it a little bit, will you leave me alone?”

Willow sat as still as a stone while waiting for Lioe’s answer. She just knew there had been something there… Ah-ha! “Actually, that’ll just encourage me to bother you more!” She laughed and finished off her water. “I suppose I will let you go for now, but know that next time, there will be more dancing.” She stood and stretched her arms over her head. Then she patted Lioe’s shoulder and sashayed back to her table. “Until next time, Lioe.”

What a persistent little… He grunted with disapproval, but a smirk of amusement rose on his lips at the same time. It had certainly been a different kind of interaction than he was used to. A few years ago, he probably would have passed out from the strain of the moment. Now, well, he wasn’t the biggest fan of the forceful nature of the moment, but it hadn’t been all bad. “Next time I’ll just know to avoid your disaster path,” he called back. Even if she said she was done.. He was still going to take his food back to the shop to eat. He liked his peace and quiet.
