“Oh yes, I’m absolutely starving,” Etoile replied, in true cat fashion; just like the average ordinary housecat, the talking kitten was never truly full, perhaps. “Do you think we could go and buy some sweets, then? I would like that very much.”

The little Mauvian wriggled around in the net, trying to find a more comfortable position.

“Hmm… also, could you let me out of this net? People might ask questions,” she added, as if two children talking to a cat like it understood their words already wouldn’t.

“Oh, uh, sure,” Sato blinked dumbfounded by the cat’s speech. Hearing a Mauvian speak is always an experience, and Etoile’s no exception.

“You know what, getting sweets sounds like a good idea. Let’s go, Nemu. I’m sure the flower shop won’t mind that we go and collect cats later?” Sato pondered out loud, giddily, as she readied herself for the departure. She then scooped up the kitten into her arms and decided to put pause the endeavor for now.

The trio (two girls and a kitten) then left the flower shop in search of sweets.
