When her brother opened his mouth she groaned. She’d have to talk to their mama about his manners. They really sucked lately. She wasn’t sure if it was just his overall attitude or just because he was in a bad mood all the time now. She moved her gaze from her sibling to the shifter and then to the man with her. “Apologies.” It was all she could offer them both in response to Ujiri.

When he caught the voice of someone else getting closer he turned his head to look at them. It was then he realized why his familiar was acting the way he was. Looking back at the beast he hushed him and made sure to give him the visual cues that everything was alright. For now. When that was done he looked back at Sar. “Friend of yours?” He asked.

“Hardly.” She replied to Lynx. When Ujiri was close enough she rolled her eyes at him. “You could have stayed in whatever dark cave you lived in.” She wasn’t exactly keen on meeting him again. With the full alkidike behind him offering an apology she looked at her. “This belong to you? I’m so sorry.”

“Ouch. That’s not very nice.” He faked being wounded by Sar’s words. He looked between the two, Lynx and the shifter, then at the crate. “What, is it too heavy for you?” He asked Sarnai. “Need me to carry it for ya?” He laughed again, knowing full well he was picking at her.

She half glared at the back of her brother’s head. “Ujiri.” Her tone suggested she was not playing anymore. “That is enough. Stop being so rude.” If he kept it up she was liable to simply smack him in the head and send him home. If he was going to be rude to people then she didn’t need him shopping with her when she needed to show she was willing to negotiate for good deals.

He turned to look at Ujiri as he inquired about the crates. “Uh, those are actually mine.” He half smiled. “And I think I can manage.” He figured he might as well address the offer to carry them. Of course he was being a bit of a smart alec when he said it. Turning toward the full Alk that was with the new guy he smiled at her with a nod. “Hello.”

When Lynx decided to let the rude intruder know that the crates were his she smiled. Even more so when he stated that he could carry them. At the other girl she chuckled. “He’s always rude.” At least she remembered him as such. Obnoxiously so. At Ujiri she took a slow breath in. “If you don’t mind, we’re busy.” She was hoping he’d get the hint.

He turned first to his sister. Her comment about him being rude made him actually pause to think about what he’d said. Then of course the other male said the crates were his so he simply nodded his head. “I see.” As Sarnai told him they were busy he smiled at her. “No time for an old friend huh?”

Hearing that his brother was always rude made her shake her head. “I am sorry about that. My little brother was raised better.” She glared at Ujiri after that. After a brief moment she looked over at Lynx since he’d greeted her and offered him a smile. “Hello. Gorgeous beast you have there.” She figured she could try to steer the conversation at least a little bit.

The compliment to his familiar had him smiling at the alkidike. “Thank you. He took a while to train.” He then turned toward his Janarim and patted him on the neck. The beast liked the attention. As Sarnai tried to excuse Ujiri from their business he looked over at her then pointed to the crates. “I’ll take those so you can deal with..” He wasn’t sure what to call the others.

She nodded at Lynx as he said he was going to take the crates. Sarnai wasn’t going to stop him from taking the goods. After all, he’d sent payment to her ahead of time so that she could acquire the items he’d wanted. She looked at Ujiri again. “You better listen to your sister. I’d hate to have to inform your mother that you are being rude.”

He ignored Lynx after that but seemed to narrow his eyes at Sarnai. “Really? You’d tell my mother?” He shook his head at her. “Fine.” The hybrid turned toward his sister. “Since my friend isn’t so friendly today, shall we go shopping?” He could always bother the shifter later.

She’d have to look into getting a companion. Her mother had hers after all. Though really she’d grown up next to the beast and he was just as lazy as her mother and more like an over grown radaku pup. Her attention switched from Lynx and his beast to her brother when he asked if they could go shopping now since his friend wasn’t doing what he wanted. “Very well. When we get home you’re running laps though.” Subira would punish him for his behavior one way or another.
