She sighed yet again and reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose. This was going to be an exhausting walk she could already tell. “Kyllha. Not too far.” She reminded the girl as her hand dropped to her side after she stepped out. Her other hand pulled the door closed behind her.

She slowed down enough to turn her head and look over her shoulder. “Huh? Oh.” The little girl paused in her adventure long enough for Akel to catch up before she was zooming around again. Though she did manage to stay closer to her mother this time. “Can we go see Elzira? And the training grounds? OH! And the mystic?” She just wanted to see everything.

She supposed she should be thankful that Kyllha at least managed to wait for her to catch up but the zoomies was exhausting to watch. As the million questions about where they could go came at her she shook her head slightly. “No sweetie. We can go visit Elzira and the training grounds but the mystic is busy today.” She didn’t want to bother one of their tribe leaders.

“Awe! No fair. She’s always busy.” She sighed and kicked at a loose rock on the ground. “I just wanted to talk to her. She’s so pretty.” Kyllha always thought the mystic was beautiful. Plus it helped that her twin had a similar marking color. It made her feel special that she had a twin that matched the mystic in a way. “At least we can go see Elzira.” That made up for it. Kyllha enjoyed seeing their Mother Tree.

She hummed a little at the girl’s response. She knew her child liked seeing the mystic, mostly because she marveled at the color of her markings and how different they were. But she was glad the denial to see her hadn’t resulted in a tantrum. Instead it seemed Kyllha was content to visit Elzira. Plus, her usually energetic kid was surprisingly calm near the mother tree.
