Nuke is, again, taken to the mat with a ********" he thinks to himself, as the Champ is showing him just why he's the top dog around here right now.
Nuke breathes in deep, readying himself for the next part of the transition to come.

time to go a little more old school, as Drako would look to keep hold of the arm and drop a leg onto it to transition into a short arm scissors submission hold

Now, whether it was luck or veteran instinct, Nuke seemed to react to this attempt. As Drako tried to come in with the transition, the Uncrowned Champion would try to roll with it and bring a stiff elbow to Drako's face in return!

the champion is clocked with an elbow, right on the side of his head as he turns reflexively but can't avoid it. the elbow forces him to release Nuke and stumble back

With his energy still at a max level, Nuke takes the opportunity to try and get on top of Drako, to mount him and power down with some more elbows.
This matchup was getting to an interesting and strange mix of scrappy and technical.

the champion is not at an advantage here and forced to cover up as the elbows rain down on him. at the moment, he doesn't have the leverage to get himself free

In a very odd fashion, Nuke aims a hard elbow up and leaves it there. He then slowly gets to his feet, offering Drako a hand back up himself.

Drako is surprised at the sudden ceasing of elbows. as he looks up, Nuke is offering him a hand up. The champion scowls at this and slaps his hand away, then rolls backwards to get to his feet on his own. The champ doesn't really trust Nuke's sudden change upon his return. It's honestly creepy

The crowd were ready to applaud Nuke's show of respect, but suddenly almost.. just almost.. kick in to a jeer at the hand slap.
Nuke had riled up the Champ somehow and raises an eyebrow, watching him roll up to his feet. Laughing to himself he offers another tie-up, but will this time attempt to invoke his own side headlock.

Drako goes into the lockup, still a bit ticked, only to find himself caught in the side headlock this time. Like Nuke had done earlier, he would attempt to pull Nuke back a little and then shove him off to the ropes

Nuke feels himself getting pushed towards the ropes and lets go, using the momentum to run towards the opposite ropes and come back looking for a swift clothesline.

Drako is freed as planned but on the rebound Nuke knocks him to the mat with a clothesline. The champion scrambles to attempt to get to his feet again, slightly off balance but aware enough that he doesn't want to stay on his back

The momentum was shifting a little in Nuke's favour, but it had split the crowd somewhat. Some fans were cheering on, whilst other fans of Drako (and there were a lot of them, were perplexed at how he had acted.
Nuke walks up to Drako and attempts to pick him up for a simple body slam to the mat.

Drako gets up, only to be lifted and slammed back to the mat, at least for the moment knocking enough wind out of him to keep him on the mat for whatever Nuke has planned next

Nuke looks down at Drako and steps back again, pumping his chest to the crowd to a loud cheer. He's allowing the Champ to get back up on his own accord, as he leans against the ropes and watches.
