Raff laughed with delight as she was spun about, her legs rising in the air with the momentum before she was set down. She wobbled a little on her feet, pretending to be dizzy. "Whoa. That was fast, mother." She turned excitedly for the snacks, and felt her expression fall at the sight of the veggie cakes. While she did enjoy them well enough, she was like her brother and fully felt the disappointment when she knew there were pastries available!
She plucked up a cake with a dramatic sigh and walked to follow Nanami as she ate. She focused carefully as she placed each foot into the larger prints. "Will my feet be as big as yours some day?" she asked, briefly distracted from the sand castle task.

Okay, so the tower was looking good. "What do you think....Raff? Really?" Zoicite blinked as he realized he was alone, the youngling having been lost in deep thought as he smacked the tower into place so that it was almost all the way up to his waist. It was a solid piece, a bit lumpy but he could easily smooth it out with a shell. Dragging the shell up and down made some interesting grooves which Zoicite decided to keep while he kept at the project, determined to stay focused even as his mother brought over more water to help out.
"Then the lens goes like this." He mused with a small grin, proud of himself as he wiggled the piece into place at the top and secured it with some more sand. After that he placed some sea glass for windows throughout the tower and added some shells along the base for decorative purposes. Then there was just the rest of the castle to worry about....the mound of sand slowly building up around the tower and somehow appearing daunting as he tried to imagine shaping it.

Nanami simply shook her head at her daughter's playful antics. At least she also ate the cakes, the Kawena was thankful for that. If it wasn't for her then the whole family would just be thriving on sugar! Still, her blue gaze was more amused than annoyed especially when Raffrdeigh asked about her feet. It was adorable to see her daughter walking in her footprints like that. "Perhaps. You just need plenty of veggies to grow up strong and maybe one day you'll even be taller than me and more like your mother." She suggested with an encouraging smile before catching more water with a bucket.
"Hmm. It looks like your brother got carried away and is already finishing up the tower." Nanami noticed as she glanced over at the beach, her head tilting with curiosity. "Do you want to help finish the castle or would you want to work on the outer walls with me?"

Noelani gave Raff a final squeeze before watching her wobble away after Nanami. A chuckle left her lips at the playful antics before she returned to focus on helping Zoicite by providing water for the sandcastle. Once the bucket was full and the sand was completely damp enough for them to build with, Noelani found herself moving around to shape the castle. "Your tower is pretty tall. Do you think its stable enough?" She asked, poking it slightly before adding a piece of sea glass to fill in a blank space. "Well, it hasn't fallen yet so I suppose it's not bad." She admitted after a moment, her hands moving to shape the edges of the walls for the castle once she noticed Zoicite's pause as he studied the mound of damp sand.
"Looks good so far." She acknowledged quietly, continuing on as she kept an eye out on the others to see what they were shaping next.

"Of course it's veggies," Raff groaned half-heartedly. However, the idea of being as tall as Noelani piqued her interest. Considering that she looked more like Nanami, she had never considered that she herself would get any taller. Yet, the option was surely there.
When the tower was pointed out, she let out a startled squeak and spun to hurry back to the building area. "Sorry!" she blurted out as she came up to her brother's side. She had sense enough to slow down when she got close though so that she wouldn't risk disturbing the tower and dropped down to her knees for a look. "Oh, cool!" She went to fetch the other items she had found and brought them over. After a little bit of mental back and forth, she took the green crystal she had found and stuck it into the base to make it into the door. Then the seaweed was broken up and scattered out to mark the tower grounds.
She sat back with the sandal in hand and headed over to where the wall would be. "This could be the main gate?"

"No worries." Zoicite replied with a laugh as Raff came rushing over. "I got a bit carried away with it." He admitted though he was definitely proud of his work. Talk about a tower! No stars could hide from this one! It was perfect for an amazing wizard who would protect their town. "Nice." He approved of Raff's additions with a grin before patting more of the wall into place, his fingers digging little ledges for imaginary guards to walk along.
He did make a face at the sandal though before finally nodding. "It can be the gate by the moat, lots of water would make it look like that." The algae could just be a decorative piece that came from the water they would fill in the moat around the castle. Zoicite grinned at the very thought. Good luck to anyone trying to invade this fortress! "Do you think they would have snaptrotters or something to swim around the castle too?"

"Of course." Nanami laughed quietly at the reaction to the vegetables. "The more you eat, the more likely you'll be able to reach further than others who didn't." She teased a final time before watching her daughter rushing away. So it seemed that she would be working on the walls with Noelani after all. Not that Nanami minded, especially when she may have cheated a little with some magic swirling more water into the bucket and helping her as she started on outer buildings with Noelani slowly coming her way with part of the wall construction.
"I hope they don't expect us to move into this town." She joked lightly as she watched her companion come back over. "Even if we were to ever expand the family I think these buildings may be a bit too small."

"If they do then we better make this an amazing town." Joked Noelani as she started to finish the shape of the wall as it curved around the two buildings that Nanami had constructed. Unlike the castle with its intricate design of shells and grooves with scattered sea glass and...was that a sandal? Should she even ask Raffrdeigh where that one came from? Still, after ignoring some of the stranger decorations the wall itself was fairly basic with just some grooves along it. Noelani was content to just work alongside of Nanami for building the bases of buildings as she waited for the children to continue on with their decorating spree.
"Expand the family? Hmm. That may not be a bad idea if only these buildings were actually large enough." She replied with a small smile towards Nanami. Surely she was just jesting though maybe in the future...Noelani shook her head before focusing back at the task at hand. "Do you think the town will need a market? Probably, right?"

Raff nodded. "Definitely snaptrotters and drow. Oh, even a yaotl! The yaotl usually sits under the drawbridge, but likes climbing along the walls, too." She reached for the spiral shell that she had found and plunked it by the wall. "This is the yaotl. I wanna name it Toothy." She grinned at her brother, blissfully ignorant of the talk of expansion going on between their mothers. "We should have a couple bushi, too!" It was going to turn into an animal kingdom rather than a village if she kept going at this rate.

Zoicite blinked in surprise before grinning. "Sure! We'll have Toothy and lots of others to help guard the castle." He laughed before grabbing some seaweed and twisting it into what he hoped looked like a couple of the mentioned creatures. He didn't mind that they were filling the castle with animals, if anything it made it look a lot more lively than some empty space. "I'll add in the wizard too." He stated with a grin, trying to figure out how a piece of driftwood could obtain a hat....oh that shell! The boy twisted some seaweed to hold it into place, the pointy shell piece on top of the driftwood that went straight to the tower since it was the wizard's home.
"I think we've done good." Zoicite grinned towards his sister. "Maybe we can convince makuahine that it's time for pastries soon?" Then they could build on the castle a bit more and finally go home for real dinner. Zoicite didn't want to think about dinner yet though because he was having so much fun and wanted to spend as much time on the beach as possible. Talk about a great day!

"Oh? Then maybe we'll have to work on expanding actual buildings that are large enough." Teased Nanami even though the very thought brought a blush to her cheeks. She was thankful for the question about the market, the Kawena feeling a bit flustered from her own suggestion. "Definitely. They'll need to trade with the other ocean village." She playfully confirmed, her hands moving in an intricate pattern as she started to push things along with a bit of magical help. After setting up a few market stalls she added a couple of leaves and such for the canvas tops, the design actually surprising her with how cute it looked despite being something randomly crafted out of various materials from the cove.
"It looks like the children are almost finished with their castle and its...creatures?" Nanami tilted her head, amusement crossing her features as she watched Raff and Zoicite hard at work. "I'm certain that they'll be asking for sweets and a break soon." Then maybe they could splash around in the water a bit more or even go on an actual swim. That sounded like a lovely way to conclude their beach day to Ami and she was honestly eager to rinse off the sand.

A sly expression crossed Noelani's face. "Possibly." She admitted though her focus was more on the task at hand, the hybrid happy enough with the way things were and not worried about the future in the moment. A beach day like this was just the perfect way to relax and not stress about work for once and she was thankful that her little family could spend the time together like this. "Talk about an amazing village." She commented after they finished up the market and looked across the beach at the various houses and smaller streets they had made in the sand. There was even a driftwood bridge across a moot that led towards the castle, the houses spreading out on the other side with their children's castle looming above it all. Maybe they should have gone into construction instead of treasure hunting? She almost made the joke, but Noelani instead opted to reach for Nanami's hand to give it an affectionate squeeze. She didn't even want to joke about anything like that, after all, not when she was truly happy with the way everything was in this current moment.

Raff giggled with delight and stood back to look over their creation so far. "This is going to be the best!" The tower itself was amazing enough, but details like the animals and the walls and the wizard? This was going to be amazing!
Ah, but then the pastries were mentioned and her mouth instantly began to water. "I bet they're ready for pastries, too! It looks like they've been working hard over there." With another happy laugh, she grabbed her brother's hand to pull him over toward their mothers. There was still so much more of the day to enjoy!
