Aloysius Sharp Is in the Ballroom

Aloysius had heard a bit about this event buzzing about the music rooms where he taught. Part of him wondered if any of the students he had seen practicing were going to be here as he was unsure of some of the names he had seen mentioned. He thought about getting out more into the world now that finals were drawing to a close and his tutoring responsibilities had greatly diminished. It would be nice to get some networking done as well if he could manage, it would help bring the family business back up to speed after he let it fall apart over the years.

Later he would take the stage himself, showing off the instrument made by his great-grandfather, using the skills he had built up over 20 years. There were a few younger students here but he had thought he had seen others closer to his own age as he walked through the area. He shot off a text to Liam letting him know where he was and if he wanted to see him perform before taking a seat to watch the current performance.

Shannon Mccord is in the Lounge

Shannon took Emily’s words at face value and scribbled them down although honestly she was really only likely going to use the more ‘event’ friendly side of the comment. The bit about the seeds of promise and passion. That actually had a pretty good ring to it. It also didn’t hurt that it was spring and everything was growing, a good use of metaphor. One she might lean into when she wrote this whole event up later. “I agree with both statements on that one. Off the record of course,” She grinned and finished off her drink. “Personally I am more of a club goer but it's always nice to experience new things.” Especially when it let her rub elbows with the more rich and famous of their ‘little town’. “Have you been in the ballroom or the garden? Any ‘on the record’ comments you would like to add about that or just stick to the earlier one?”

She smiled and nodded, giving a slight shrug even as she verbally waved away the thanks, “He is welcome to contact me with the information on the card. I even have a blog and am more than willing to provide examples of my work so he knows what he is getting when he hires me.” Shannon knew the best way to sell herself and her work. Although if some of her other things panned out then maybe she could be a bit more choosy with her work but that was fairly far in the future. Ah well, all good things come in time and all that crap.

"I made straight for the bar here," Emily admitted, a little sheepish. "But I heard there's going to be several local violinists going on stage soon? And a fashion show in the gardens," There was a shake of the head, "I don't much about either, though one of violinists? Aloysius Sharp? His family has been well-known in the music circles around the city for generations."

She felt a little proud of herself for remembering that much from those childhood dinner parties and later on, in Crystal, listening in on the chatter of whatever orchestra girl had bothered Miss Mindy Lee that week. Not a few had nurtured a crush on Mister Sharp.

Emily is dressed in a short and spangled white backless dress with a vivid red lipstick, her stylist's decision for the night was: Snow White at her wedding reception.

- Emily is a fairly well known lifestyle youtuber and guru. Other youtubers may have existing working relationships with her.
- She attended house parties and events among Destiny City's monied class from age 6-15, and later after returning to the city as an adult. People in that circle may be fairly familiar with her!
- Emily attended Crystal Academy from 2009-2011

Amity Choire is in the Ballroom

Amity was so happy when she heard her appearance at the creative social had been approved. The idea of the event was very significant since it centered around a party for Destiny City artists and entertainers. This was a way for people to express their creative side and gain investors. Amity was excited to be part of the event and looked forward to meeting new people, networking and showcasing her work. She was thrilled that she had the chance to be part of something so special and meaningful.

So each and every day she visited the park to practice the songs she planned to play. Before she knew it the day of the event was here. She threw on her blue sparkly dress, her favorite jewelry, and braided her hair where the light purple undertone shown slightly behind her neck. She felt happy and confident, ready to take on the stage. She gathered her violin and headed to the performance area, ready to show the world her music. An audience is the world of the musician, even if it's not the entire world.

Her feet stepped onto the stage, she turned to face the audience, and her violin rested on her shoulder with a smile. She closed her eyes and began to play, her bow gliding across the strings. The melody filled the room, each note seemingly flawless to her ears as she played the song Crystallize by Lindsey Stirling. However, it had a classical sound to it. All she hoped for now was that her music reached the ears and hearts of those at the event around her. So she let the music take her away, the notes skillfully and deliberately playing in the air.

Amity Choire is 17 going on 18. She attends Crystal Academy and is an up and coming violist. She is currently wearing her blue sparkly dress and playing her violin in the ballroom.

Amigar Perry is in the lounge.

Amigar heard about this amazing event from one of her regular customers. They had mentioned that it was a showcase event for artists. Now while she wasn't your typical artist, she designed desserts, which she believed was an art in itself. So she figured why not attend, make some friends, and possibly even some new customers?

She arrived at the event wearing a heart scarf, a maroon dress, and white leggings. She was eager to see what the event had to offer. She was not disappointed; the event was filled with vibrant music and talent of all kinds. She was so inspired that she dreamed up delicious dessert ideas just as she stepped foot into the event.

"Wow this is amazing," she said out loud as she looked around the room for a place to enjoy the event from. She couldn't help but smile as she took in all the sights, sounds and smells of the event. She was so thankful for the opportunity to be able to come to the event.

She was also thankful just for the night her staff was willing to watch over the bakery. It was as if her bakery family knew she needed to get out and enjoy the world. Since even they knew the bakery had been her world for so long, it was time to branch out a little. She took a deep breath and enjoyed the moment, feeling the warmth of the people around her and the excitement of the event. She was ready to take on the world, one step at a time.

-While some people would spend their summers out in their gardens, you would find Ami in her kitchen.
-She is attending a culinary trade school and hoping to better her pastry knowledge.
-She may also be carrying some cupcakes in her bag, just incase someone wants a taste of her bakery.

Shannon smiled and shrugged, she couldn’t blame her current companion for heading right to the bar. It’s normally one of her first stops as well when she wasn’t on the job. Drinks and writing didn’t often mix well so even though she was able to order another drink she just stuck to the one she had already finished. “Ahhh, I heard about the fashion show but the violinists are new to me. I’ll have to stick around for a little bit before drifting out to the garden.” The whole event was part of her job so she couldn’t stay there all night long, besides she should really network more inorder to get her name out there once again. “Maybe if I’m lucky I can find one of the musicians for an interview. It's wonderful to interview guests, but it's also a grand idea to get the artist's feelings on the event as well.”

Besides the name Aloysius Sharp sounded familiar to her as well, and as much as it irked her generational families that floated in these circles had money. Money or one hell of a talent. So it was at least worth trying to snag an interview with Mr. Sharp. If only because passing him her card would make it easier to get in good with other interesting figures that made up the Destiny City social scene.

“May I have a glass of water,” Shannon requested from the bartender when he drifted back over, thanking him when he quickly produced it. “It has been a great pleasure to have met you Ms. Moffat. Thank you for a pleasant conversation and wonderful quotes.” She offered her hand for another shake, this time a farewell, “I should head back into the fray of things and see if there are any other guests or artist’s I am able to include in my piece.” It was time to get back to rubbing elbows of the rich and affluent. Her article wasn’t going to write itself.

Emily Moffat is lounging in the lounge

Shaking Shannon's hand, Emily was careful not to overdo her grip, "I'm sure we'll meet again, Ms. Mccord." Giving the water a glance, she nodded with a smile, "Try to keep up your energy." For someone having to cover the night and all the local talents, it was probably going to be a long evening.

For her part, as the other woman left, Emily decided to order a second drink and ensconce herself in the corner of an overstuffed leather couch. She wore a much higher, much more precarious heel than her usual. Dwight thought it was worth it for fashion, she thought it was worth it to be three inches taller. but reaching great heights (such as 5'6") took its toll, and she barely managed to hold in an audible groan when she sat down. Maybe 5'5" would've been more practical this time...
