She hummed quietly as she waited for him to come back, with another fish she would need to take a warm shower when she got home just to avoid getting sick. She wanted to watch him de-scale and clean a fish mainly cause she had no experience whatsoever in that area, so eating something you caught yourself was new to her.
After waiting for a few minutes he resurfaced with another fish in hand "yay!" she said watching him get back on his boat, hoping he wouldn't capsize it in the process.

“I will clean them wuick and then we can be on our way.” He brought out a small fillet knife and slit the fish from cloaca to throat and scooped and pull the viscera out. “Its not as bad as it looks they are slimier on the outside.” He tossed the entrails back in the water and rinsed both fish, the sharks would have a nice feast if the other fish let them have any.
“Back to the beach.” He said and took up the oars ferrying his burrotoed passenger to shore.

She watched him to quick work of cleaning and gutting the fish, it grossed her out ever so slightly but it was probably worth it. That was a skill she hadn’t learned to quickly clean and gut a fish that you caught on your own. She mused at the thought that it should be a life skill that should be taught to the newer generation. She rubbed her arms through the towel, she was definitely gonna catch a cold.
She blinked as she burritoed herself a little tighter watching his arms work the oars to steer them back towards the shore. At least she was starting to slowly dry off but it took longer because it was the evening and there was no sun to help it along.

He wished he could do something for her. He stopped rowing for a moment and gingerly but firmly rubbed her arms.
"Can't have you freeze before we get to shore." He wished he had brought a proper blanket, he would from now on just in case another mermaid dropped in on him.
"Thank you for the company tonight, hope you enjoyed the stars as much as I did, sorry its cold though."
The wind was rather unforgiving once the sun was gone especially when wet.
He was only warm because of the exertion of rowing. He wished he could give her a hug but he felt that it would come off as too informal and he didn't want to scare her when his intention was only to help her warm up a little. He settled for brisk arm rubbing.

She looked at him with a grateful look as he gingerly rubbed her arms to keep her warm. She probably should have gotten out sooner before the sun went down, that was a bad call on her end. "Hmm...next time I will have to think this through," she told him. She just seemed to have lost track of time, or she would have gotten out sooner but then she wouldn't have run into him. So it wasn't a completely bad decision.
She smiled as best as she could at him while trying to keep herself warm "My pleasure, always willing to keep you company." she told him " I did enjoy the stars, and that's okay that was poor planning on my part but on the bright side I wouldn't have met you" she answered shrugging a bit so it wasn't a complete loss of the night.
She shifted a little bit closer before deciding to give him a hug just to warm herself up a bit "sorry..I'm just gonna give you a hug here for a few minutes just to warm myself up a bit" she warned him before scooting closer and being careful not to tip the boat. Hopefully, he wouldn't be completely scared of her hugging him.

"I though about offering but I felt like it might be innapropriate." He hugged her back, trying very hard not to blush. At least she had warned him. Hugs were nice and she felt like she could definitly use the heat, poor thing was freezing.
"Warm fish and warm beverage will help, then I'll get you home. Least I can do for the company."

"To be honest, I wouldn't have minded it all that much," she told him honestly, as he hugged her tighter trying not to blush herself. She felt her body starting to warm up from their hug. She considered just sitting in front of him as he rowed them back to shore so she wouldn't freeze to death but at the same time, she didn't want to be too forthcoming with him.
She nodded her head agreeing with him "I agree, I could use a warm meal and maybe like a soup or a nice warm tea" she told him, before gingerly letting him go so he could continue rowing them back to the shore."
