Zadia subtly tugged Lioe a little closer so she could squeeze his hand without the shopkeeper eyeing them. He did, of course, but not a moment before making eye contact with Isaia. The strange, malformed Geian was impossibly proud with his assumptions and even had the gall to look saddened when they spoke of leaving.
"Too bad, really. You're missing out on the chance to sample some quality wares."
Zadia bit her lip and with a flush to her cheeks the hybrid turned on her heel to walk out of the shop. She didn't need some...some...peddler trying to outdo her! He was as spoiled as the items on his shelf and -
Once she was out on the street and the door was shut behind them Zadia cried out in frustration and ran her hands down her face. "I'm going to burn the whole shop down!"

Even for Lioe, it was a little painful to leave the shop without saying something in defense of his family. With what he knew though, and the depths of what he didn't know, it was best to just move on. So, he did what he did best and kept his head down. At least the others seemed willing to leave without too much fuss either. He could feel the eyes watching them leave..
Once he was out of the keeper's line of sight, he inhaled a grateful breath. It would have been better to keep the topic on his date from earlier... Almost. "The guy's a creep, Zadia. He won't last long."

(6/7) Isaia followed after his siblings, making sure to usher them both out in front of them, trying to use some of his tall, lanky frame to block them from the creep's leering. Once outside, he let Zadia have her breakdown, but also gazed between her and Lioe quizzically, brows furrowed. He nudged at her leg with the toe of his boot, trying to urge her along, and only when they were a decent distance from the shop did he quicken his pace to catch up with them, peering between them.
"What the heck was that about? I think I missed something."

"I don't care, Lioe! I just wanted to wring his neck!" She raised her hands into claws as if she could pop the man's very head from it's stalk! Of course he could have been watching the entire affair from the window of his shop since they'd just walked out, but she was too frustrated to give a damn!
It was only because of Isaia's nudging that she moved at all, but it didn't really help to calm her down. She was normally so reserved and searing with her comments that having the one thing prodded that shouldn't be sent her over the edge. "You didn't miss anything; it's nothing." And that 'nothing' was what she would report to Mr. Fowler about later that night. No doubt he would want to do something about this, especially if the shopkeep knew about their activities.
"Don't worry about it, Isaia. Let's just try to enjoy our evening, alright? I don't want some bulbous, half-formed monstrosity to take this from us."

He winced slightly at Zadia's outburst, but kept his mouth shut. He knew the touchy subject the man had touched on, and it apparently wasn't something they could discuss right there. What.. what would Isaia think when he found out? Not if, of course, but when. The secret would come out eventually.
He didn't want to lie, especially with how subtle Zadia was being.. but he had promised.
"What do you guys think would have happened if you actually used that mummy hand?" he asked to avoid his brother's question.

(7/7) They weren't gonna tell him, were they? Isaia felt a flash of annoyance, narrowing his eyes at his sister. But... Lioe, with his gentle question, was the prodding he needed to know to let it go. For now. He wasn't going to let them get away with it, but Zadia, normally calm and cool, was fuming, and he honestly didn't want to get on her bad side.
"Probably give you the sh--" He cut himself off as they passed a mother with her kid, whistling as he cast his eyes skyward to avoid her sharp glare.
But then he reached out to ruffle Lioe's hair, giving him a shove. "What was it I was promised for going in there? hmm-- something about... beautiful, tall, green women?"
