Silfi nodded. It was a really long way away and she wasn’t even sure that Yngvara really knew how to get there. She’d heard about her siblings taking a longer trip when they were younger, but if she couldn’t remember where she put her shoes how was her sister supposed to remember the way to Jauhar? “Don’t think so. They said if she told anyone that-“ Silfi cleared her throat before depending the voice, “-‘you’ll all go into lock up for poaching.’” She straightened her features with a frustrated sigh. “What does that mean? What did she do wrong? And since she told you and Ziya isn’t she already in trouble?”
Because of that alone Silfi hadn’t told anyone; she didn’t want her big sister to get into trouble if she did. Since Revna knew, though, it seemed okay to talk about. That is, until Revna kept pressing her for questions and now Silfi was starting to question things… “I don’t…Have you seen her today? I haven’t seen her since yesterday….What if she’s already gone? Do you think mama knows?”

Poaching? Whose property did her sister hunt on? Revna's gaze narrowed thoughtfully. She knew that their village used to be an estate of some old wealthy lady or something and that the capital was a lot closer than where their mother's old home had been, but how close could they be to someone that could lock them up? And good luck to anyone that tried! Still, if her older sister was so worried about it that she was willing to leave home...
"I don't know if she told Ziya." Admitted Revna finally. "I was just getting info from you, Silfi!" Her gaze darted towards her sibling. "If she's already gone then we should check. I don't think we'll have time for the bakery today." She was already turning, her heart racing as she thought about running all the way back home to check Yngvara's room. If they couldn't find Ziya then did they tell their mother? Revna grimaced at the very thought. If this didn't get resolved and it blew up then maybe they would get in trouble since Yngvara would be gone! "We need to find Ziya first and worst case we tell mama!"

Silfi stopped mid stride to stare her sister. For a moment she was just stunned, as if she didn’t know Revna was playing her all along before reaching out and slapping her shoulder. “Then why did you lie?!” Of course they didn’t have time for the bakery! If their big sister was in some kind of big trouble that was apparently a lot bigger than Silfi realized then they needed to help!
“Shouldn’t we tell mama first?” Her voice bounced a little as she first started walking, then running toward the stables, but even Silfi knew the answer. If their mama found out then they were all going to be in trouble. Tears pricked up at the corners of her eyes as her heart bottomed out. “I’m really Revvy! I thought I wasn’t supposed to tell.”

"Because I wanted to know!" Revna was already walking, her steps getting quicker as she started building up momentum and panic. "Definitely not!" She shook her head as she started racing forward towards the stables, doing her best to keep pace with Silfi even though the younger girl probably would rush past soon enough despite Revna's adrenaline rush.
"Sometimes you gotta tell!" A rare thing for Revna who hated sharing things with others, but this situation was different! "If anyone ever seems to be in a dangerous situation, Silfi, tell me. Don't ever hide something like this again." She chastised her younger sibling, her sides heaving as she finally made it to the stables. Relief crossed her features though as it seemed that the stalls weren't empty yet. A good sign that they still had a chance!

“I didn’t know!” How many times had they kept secrets from their parents? Or older siblings?! When was it okay and when wasn’t it?! Silfi tried to stay closer to Revna as they ran, but the unfamiliar terrain of the more adventurous path slowed her down. She’d already stepped on a few stones that very nearly sent her tumbling, but thankfully Silfi was light on her feet.
She’d messed up bad this time. There was no hiding her tears now and as much as she wanted to hide in a hole to sob she had to get to Ziya. Their big brother could fix this! He could fix anything! As soon as they were on more familiar ground Silfi took off. She ran all out to pass Revna, head down in her shame and fear, as she ran into the stable.
