"Yeah those baby items are not cheap and they just get puked on anyway its so heartbreaking. But think about how cute Akea used to be! We can use some of her stuff, especially if we have a girl but I'm afraid they are a bit more trashed as she got more mobile. She never was a clean side of the fence kind of girl.
It had been brutal on her clothing though. "I miss her." She had left a kind of void off adventuring with her boyfriend.

"I know, sometimes I expect her to just walk around the corner and be there laughing at us as we drag our butts out of bed. How she gets up that early is beyond me the little robinbird. Hope Aki is taking good care of her or I will personally plant him in your garden." He winked, knowing Kaiko would be competing for the first strike, but Aki could not have been a nicer boy so nothing to worry about.

"Yeah, I don't think it will be any easier with the next batch, but we have years of enjoyment before they grow up and go off on their own. " He hated when they went off on their own. Akea had brightened them up and it seemed sorta dull without her. Though he was not complaining about the alone time with his mate that was for sure.
They finished their shower and toweled off. "Now! Time for food I'm starving."

"I have seafood, stock and potatoes, how about a nice seafood chowder as an alternative over regular fish. It feels like a nice hearty soup day to me." He was going to need his energy later.
"I could eat a snaptrotter if they were not so spunky and toothy."
He was glad Akea hadn't brought one of those home..yet. One should never count her out.

"Soup sounds good." Especially if his mate was cooking it. He was going to need his energy for later.
"Foooooood." He moaned weakly and theatrically, immitating their daughter exactly.
"Maybe tomorrow I'll come pick the tide pools with you, she used to do it all the time I think it would be fun to do it with you and see what we find."
He dragged himself over and kissed his mate. "I'll get the drinks.!"
