‘Aelius!!’
Alive, thinking meant that Aelius was still alive, and thinking was a very good sign of it; though Waru — Waru was not thinking anymore, adrenaline high for the mere *sight*; over large legs twinging on a vine, beady multitude of eyes attached to a bulbous body — the little glean of light he had clipped over a glint of fangs.
‘Surprise is a word — good word — great ******** ohmygodspiderswhy!!’
Waru no longer wanted to *fight* - he wanted to flee - knowing the ******** didn’t dust like youma did, that he had no desire to be closer to them — he shoved his hand into sub space and pulled out a knife: this would teach him, maybe, in all the ways Faustite and Kamacite had not - to finally start cutting his damn hair before *missions*.
He started making quiet work, the furtive movements of prey snipping themselves free, and the spider apparently didn’t like that — ‘Please don’t let me die to spiders — I want the bats back!’
But Waru was quick with it, I careful in his hacking, leaving the kitchen blade behind in the webbings wake so he could crawl away, urging the dice to move across his old and roll his a** to safety.
The die was sluggish in his hands - sticky with coating - it barely even *moved*, but if it rolled one space then it rolled at all and the webs that he’d sliced himself free of finally fell away to reveal —

Space: 13 ''What, Waru?!' Helio snapped.
Having someone quite literally yelling in his head was incredibly distracting. And annoying. And giving him a headache! He should have known better. He should have known that having a link to Waru was a terrible idea, but considering their circumstances, it was about all they had to stay in contact.
'It's just a spider.' He remarked as he struggled to lift his feet from the bog. The ground was like glue though and refused to relinquish them. To make it worse, he was pretty damn sure he was sinking. 'This is just disgusting.' He huffed.
But then he realized he really was sinking and at a pace that shouldn't be feasible. He was already up to his knees in the murky stuff. Not to mention it reeked. Horribly.
The only thing going for this area was he wasn't being attacked. Not in a drawing blood sort of way at least.
The dice was still thankfully still on his person clutched in his fist but the problem was, would the bog suck it down as soon as he rolled it? Would it count? Could he just...roll it in his palm?
As he contemplated his little crisis, the bog had managed to move up to his thighs inching it's way to his hips. He didn't have long.
He tried rolling in his hand. Nothing happened. 'I am going to loose this damn die.'
Taking the gamble, he rolled the dice just in front of him. If it sank he figured he could just grab a hunk of earth. And, as expected the dice hit the bog and sank. He didn't get to see what it landed on, but sank his hands into the muck to retrieve it before pulling himself from the bog to move onwards.

‘Oh, ******** you! Just a spider….’
And he didn’t meannn to think that at Helio the way he had, the other senshis earnest mental calls would’ve been appreciated any other day, but just then? Going from big mean spider to — watch what you wish for —- only levied up to the nth’ degree. If he hadn’t been irritated before? He was now, lashing out with a layer of magic that screamed pissed off Eternal; the drag of claws and press of bloodthirsty teeth draining as the numbers seemed to swarm and swell into a *frenzy*. Their own batty retribution for how he’d faced them down just a few squares ago…
‘Helio, the next time I ask to go out? ******** hamstring me — holy —‘
The cutoff became a snarl, the snarl a choked gasp as he bashed one erroneously close bay up against the glass that barred his progress, rolled the die through winged remains of the unwary, and almost instantly Waru had far more prescient worries than how he felt like curling up and dying pissily. Because his world filled with clotting swaths of green, toxic on levels that made him think fondly of sucking down Faustites pitch black smog, of facing down Fafnirs poisonous kiss — a dragons breath more deadly than straight fire could be.
‘I wanna go h o m e n o w…’

(Rolls doubled now) Space: 17 Welp. One plus side was he wasn't in much up to his hips. There was a tell-tale mucky water line on his fuku. He felt flat out disgusting from it all and was damn sure he smelled as bad as that bog had. 'I am going to need a ******** shower after all of...' A howl echoed to his left. He eyed the darkness there but saw nothing. A growl came from his right and whirled, ready to attack but there was nothing there. Sounds continued to circle him, sending the corrupt physically spinning in the center of his square as he tried to find the actual source of the noises. They came so fast and so frequently he was finding himself growing increasingly anxious. Where the hell were all of these creatures that clearly had him surrounded? 'Come on ********.' Another howl following by grunts and more growls and Helio had enough. He practically whipped his dice. It bounced off of the invisible walls before finally stopping in a corner. Helio grabbed it and ran, praying the creatures wouldn't find him in his travels between squares.

Roll 11 Space: 18 ---> The End Square
If Helio had been thinking anything at him? Waru didn’t hear. Was to busy heaving on his knees, on blessedly solid ground, prone before some opalescent glowbeam that was beckoning him forward. He couldn’t so much as crawl just then, waiting for his skin to reknit itself, and his muscles to reform, and his *mind* to coalesce into a solid thought producing organ—-
He was tripping the ******** out. The feeling of being empty n cold piled ontop of hot and bleeding. At least he still had bones. He could be happy for that, happier even if he closed his eyes and listened — waited — for Helio to slam into him from one direction or another.
What did everyone always say? Don’t go into the light.
The ******** if he was going into it *alone*, and especially not without Helio. “******** these dice….” roughed with sincerity, as he twisted to gaze back out into the swirling dark from where he’d come.

(Rolls Doubled) SPACE: THE END Helio's face lit up with absolute relief when he saw Albite. He paused a moment though, eyes shifting tothe darkness around them. "Is this just another damn trick?" He growled. Eyes darting around.
A moment passed. Then another. With nothing happening he sighed eyes shifting to the light. "Huh. Throw us in darkness for a whole bored game them give us the quintessential 'walk into the beam of light' gig?" He rolled the die in his hand before chucking the article into his subspace. If he didn't see that thing anytime soon he'd be happy.
He looked at Albite. "I take it the spiders didn't get you?" He questioned as he brushed some of the horrible bog muck from his fuku. The muddy chunk hit the bored with a solid splat and Helio wrinkled his nose at it. "I think I would have rathered spiders."
"Anyway, shall we?" He nodded his head to the light. "I am pretty sure we are both done with this bullshit and I know I need a shower stat." They may have been out initially to gather energy but that was the furthest thing from Helio's mind now. In fact, it was definitely what he wasn't going to do after this whole nonsense.

“What, you saying your mud bath wasn’t therapeutic?” Except Helio didn’t smell like a spa — though Albite as sure the mud caked Senshi before him probably still looked better for all the boggy bile than he did say there n struck too dumb to move. But Helio was beckoning — talking about showers at home — “Shower sounds good…you’re place…not mine.” huffed like the soft flutter of a birds wings, Albite was suddenly tired as he was greatful to see Aelius, filthy and alive. Chucking his own dice back into the void before dragging himself up and nodding amicably, pulling Helio into the light with him. Using whatever energy he had left to snap them from sidewalk and fall faced reality; and right back into Helios stairwell, gawkers be damned, he wasn’t dumping them into an alley or walking a block.
