Rajani 4 She watched Hargitt with a raised brow before she simply shook her head. "Early is not normal. No one needs to be up this early, the beasts are in a pen and not going anywhere." Not to mention they got fed regularly, they wouldn't go too far even if they could go somewhere. Still, the shifter moved over and grabbed a bale of hay in each hand so that she could add her own efforts to the task. They didn't weigh too much more than her hammer but their shape made things awkward to hold. "I am fairly certain you just like to annoy me by making me see the sky before the sun does."

Ishani 5
The little one didn't even bother to hide her laugh, which was just audible enough to catch her father's attention. She saw him give her a curious side eye, but instead of sticking around she just scuttled with the hay bale as fast as her little muscles could go.
"What if we stuffed his pants with them later? We could sneak back in here, grab a bunch of hay and really give him an itchy butt." She liked her Aunt well enough, her cousins were fine, but Uncle Merritt....well, he needed some work. "Or we could dip his socks in honey. It's still warm enough for bugs to crawl around in them."

Hargitt 5"I just think it's calming seeing the sun rise in the eyes of a horrified shifter." Hargitt mused with a crick of a smile. "Almost as refreshing as a stiff drink or a good... toss." If his daughter's weren't so close he may have used more colorful language; might have still done it if he wasn't so sure those little beasties could hear him from miles away. Hargitt lugged one of his bales onto the growing stack, and chucked the other one beside it. His arms would be scratched and itchy later, but the work would be well worth it. At least, to him it would be. He'd had to do something the rest of his family would enjoy to make up for it. When Merritt came closer, he looked to the two of them and made a sort of 'hmm' noise. "Been meanin' to ask, but are you lot staying the winter? Just need to know how much we need to put back in the cellar."

She giggled at the idea of helping her uncle to have an itchy bottom and nodded her head in agreement to her sisters words. Of course the honey idea sounded good too.
"We better hurry and finish before he does so we can sneak away!" That way they could watch for the best time to get him. And it would give them time to plan. After all, getting the honey would take some doing with their aunt in the house.

Rajani 5 She narrowed her eyes at Hargitt as he spoke. "Uh huh.. remind me to toss you into the nearest slop pen." The shifter smirked at him before she started to move her own hay for storing, though it wouldn't go as far as her friend's since she didn't chuck it as he did. It got the job done though. Rajani looked at Merritt as he asked the question about their staying before she glanced at Hargitt. He knew she wasn't a fan of staying since there were so many people around but she'd stay if he wanted to. She personally thought the girls old enough to travel with them now.

Ishani 6
"Well-" She tugged the bale onto the wooden platform and once her sister was done pushing it she stood back to look at their hard work. "-what if we just ran while they're working? We've already helped some; that's good enough, right?" If they could run while their parents weren't watching then it would be a scolding, but the deed would already be done. Ishani really didn't see a losing situation here.
"Or or or, what if we started sneezing? Auntie was sneezing yesterday; that's why she's not out here! We could do it too." She tried to keep her voice down and her excitement with it, but Ishani knew the adults were close on their heels.

Hargitt 6
The girls were just close enough that he could hear them talking without actually knowing what they were saying. Something in the way that Ishani kept looking over Harlei toward him, then ducking down made him suspicious though. He narrowed his eyes on her and would have taken the time to really think it through had Merritt's question not caught him.
Hargitt wouldn't have minded to stay on a farm. He was of a mind that he could spend his life on the road or in one spot; it didn't much matter to him. Spending another winter with Merritt though? Not a chance. His brother and his family had been more than accommodating, but the man was overbearing at best. It was easier to tolerate when he was younger and he had to listen to him; now Hargitt didn't much care for his sass.
The fact that Rajani was here just gave him an excuse to leave. "I'd say if the girls are big enough to help with prep work then they're big enough to set up a camp. It's about time we head out anyway, don't you think?" He turned to Rajani.

The ideas her sister came up with were good ones. And they should get them out of doing the rest of the work. So she grinned and gave a soft giggle. "What about both? Run and sneeze!" It would be perfect. It would mean that they couldn't be caught and the sneezing would make their parents think they couldn't stand the hay.
She peeked over her shoulder at the adults before looking back at Ishani. "Count of three?" They just had to make sure to stay clear of their parents since they were good at catching.

Rajani 6 She glanced at the girls to see how they were doing while Hargitt answered his brother but the conversation drew her back in. She blinked as she looked at Merritt then her friend. "I think they are old enough, besides, I miss hunting." While she could do a little bit here and there it wasn't the same as when they were on the road. And she had to try and get enough for the whole lot of them. Which could be a hassle sometimes. "And I'm sure your brother would love to have his house back." Mainly because the girls had a ton of energy when they were cooped up. It was enough to drive Raj bonkers so she figured someone else had to feel the same way.

Ishani 7
"Both is good." Ishani grinned. Her eyes sparked with mischief and she very well might have laughed if the adults weren't so close. She crouched down low enough so that she could stuff a few pieces of hay into her hair to really sell the lie.
"One....Two...Three." Ishani bolted, but not before letting out the loudest, most dramatic fake sneeze she could muster. "My nose itches! It really really itches!" She cried out as she ran for the house. Another few sneezes to really seal the deal, at least in her eyes, and they were set. Now she just needed Harlei.

Hargitt 7
Rajani had a point. While they'd been able to hunt and take on odd jobs over their time here, most of the coin had gone into the farm. It supplied them with shelter, food, clothing for the girls, extra sets of hands to watch them...As much as Hargitt had been grateful for the help during their infancy he was ready to start earning for themselves again and get back on the road.
It wasn't as if Merritt's own family had stopped growing either during their time there. He'd had a few boys already by the time they settled here, and his wife had recently announced she was expecting again.
"Of course I would," Merritt piped in. "By the time spring rolls around that guest room'll be a nursery anyway and - HEY!" He saw Ishani take off around the time that Hargitt heard her and Merrit took off at a half run after the girls. "Get back here!"
When he was out of earshot, Hargitt leaned closer to Rajani, "How much do you want to bet that they ditch him?" He wanted to be surprised by it all, but really, he was more surprised that they'd lasted this long.

With her sister in cahoots with her she felt giddy inside. As the count down began she added a bit of the hay to her long hair so that it would be believable that it caused her to be sneezy. Then just as Ishani took off so did she. An echo of fake sneezes coming from her to create a chorus of them from both girls.
As they ran bast the adults she brought her hands to her face in an attempt to cover her mouth and hide her smile but she figured they might take it as her trying to be polite. "Ahhh-choo!" When Merritt gave chase she sped up with a shriek.

Rajani 7 She was looking at Hargitt and waiting for his answer but Merritt of course had to chime in. The shifter simply looked at the man as he said he'd turn the room into a nursery. She had trouble with two and this man wanted to add way more to his family. It was enough to make her shudder. Raj was most definitely not the large family type. Hargitt was lucky he'd gotten twin girls. As said girls took off with dramatic sneezes she watched, both brows raised, with some amusement as Merritt chased after them. Hearing her best friend speak up only made her snort. "He's nice and all but your brother is slow..." A shake of her head made her look toward Hargitt with a bit of an exasperated look. "An irresponsible. How dare he leave all this work undone to run off playing with his nieces." The shifter was being sarcastic of course. "Eh, I'm up so we might as well finish this so Merritt doesn't have to complain about it later." There was only a few bales of hay left anyways. And it would mean she wouldn't have to listen to her friend's brother gripe about the girls running off when there's work to be done.
