Dancing and music? Endellion could remember nights like that on the ship, but it wasn't anything like what they experienced sometimes in the port cities. "It sounds like a lot of fun. Does he dance all the time or just at festivals and things? And does your baba always work harvests? " Seemed to her like they really shouldn't be together with jobs that were that different, but stranger things had happened.
"Can you dance? You said you wanted to be like him, but all I see are your stabby sticks. That's only half of it."

(9/10) "Mm! He dances all the time! Sometimes he even does special dances for people." He wasn't supposed to know about those, but he knew his papa worked just as much as his baba did. "My baba though, he does a lot of stuff too! Not just harvests - he carries stuff off the boats, or he helps build stuff or - sometimes he makes pretty things too." But that wasn't work, but just for fun.
At the next question though, his face fell a bit, turning pink and embarrassed. "Well I - my papa says as long as its in my blood, I'll find a way! I just - gotta learn the steps still." So - no. The answer was no, he couldn't really dance, not without counting along with the foot positions, or watching his papa closely.
"Are you gonna have a ship too? When you grow up?" He challenged. The other kid would have to work SO hard to get their own ship, right?

"Oooo, he must be really good then." Special dances sounded fancy so in her mind that meant he got paid pretty well.
When he started flushing, though...Well, Del didn't waste a moment in grinning and reaching over to poke him. "So that means you can't." Not much of a sword dancer if he couldn't move without falling on his face. "It's okay; you can still work if you can use swords or knives. It's just not as fancy." Maybe he would be good for life at sea someday? Or maybe not. What if his eyes caught the light off the water and blinded everyone on board?
"Nope." She answered with certainty. "I'm gonna work on papa's ship as a healer. People get hurt all the time and I'm gonna be the best at making them better."

(10/10) Nooo! They noticed! Casimir whined, swatting at her hand as she poked at him. "Not yet but I will!" He resopnded, voice pitchy with embarrassment. But - she continued, and actually wasn't nearly as mean as Calliana would've been, in this situation.
Which made her nice, in his eyes. His eyes went round with wonder though, gasping softly. Healing! That was so cool -- "My brother's a healer! You're really gonna heal people? Do you know magic?" he leaned in, excited--
"Casimir! You little brat, you get over here--"
Cas blanched, then groaned, shooting a look at the portly Geian woman who he'd run from. Her hands were propped on her hips, her green eyes narrowed in annoyance. "Aw... man! I've gotta go." He murmured unhappily, carefully scooting down from where he'd been sitting up on the wall. "Are you gonna be here tomorrow? I could... probably sneak away again."

"Ooo!" There was no time to chat anymore! Even though she wasn't the one being called out Endellion sat straighter on her crate, eyes wide like she was in trouble.
"Yeah yeah, I can come back. I'll bring my brother too and we can practice." On the other side of the wall where the Geian woman couldn't see she made a few stabby motions with a grin. Just in case said Geian was going to try dragging her back, Endellion slipped down onto the ground, gave him a little wave and quickly scuttled away.
