"Not really, A) the bullies couldn't catch us, B) we pranked them then kicked their butt so hard they gave up relatively early." Hellions two, they had been. Still were when the times called for it. But for some reason around this woman, (he felt like it was because he actually cared what she thought), he was well ...this. He didn't want to say pathetic but he felt well, maybe Lynx could help him later with whatever he felt. "Yes, Lynx is my twin." He too glanced up and down the beach, wondering what she was looking for. "Are you okay?"

So he and his twin were hellions. That checked out. So far Iexa had proven to be a smart mouth. And apparently cared about his hair. When he looked up and down the beach then asked if she was okay she glanced around before nodding. "I'm alright for now." Though she did reach up to take her hood down. Standing there speaking with him it would make her stand out more. Especially since her also sported the same shade hair as her. Two silver haired people talking on the beach wouldn't be suspicious. "Why?" Had he noticed her acting strange?

"Because abnormally, you seem concerned about someone on the beach?" Or maybe he was just imagining things but she looked like a predator that thought it was being hunted. A strong predator, a wary one. Or he could just be over thinking it again. He occassionally did that. "Sarnai, would you care to share a meal?" Food was a good neutral ground usually.

Alright that was fair. She had been looking about a bit much. The shifter sighed. "Alright, I'm paranoid I was followed." Sarnai could tell him that much. Wouldn't be hard to put together anyways. She had asked him if he'd followed her. And in a not so nice way. When he asked her if she wanted to share a meal she tilted her head slightly. "Are you asking me on a date, Iexa?" Her comment was mostly meant to tease him again. Of course she did reach out and tug on his hair again, provided he didn't move away or stop her.

"Perhaps...take it how you will but there will be hot food and good company." He let her tug on his hair, when she did it in great fistfulls it didn't hurt all that much. Was sort of soothing so long as she didn't yank too hard. He offered her an arm, showing just what side of the coin he was actually on. "My lady."

"Oh? Then I won't consider it a date." Sarnai gave another tug on his hair as she smirked at him. If he couldn't clearly tell her what it was then she wouldn't assume anything. "I could go for hot food though. It was a long trip." Up until then she'd been eating quick meals since she wanted to continuously move along. With the offer of his arm she rolled her eyes at him. The shifter offered a small snort then flicked Iexa lightly on the forehead. "I'm not yours yet." She told him in a teasing tone as she walked past him. "Come on."

"I am aware, but it is the polite thing to say in any case." A good meal would do her good, maybe ease the tension around her eyes somewhat. "Thank you for coming." He was tired of eating alone all the time and she was definitely fresh company. "Was there a food you liked in particular?" He would and could eat almost anything.

So he liked being polite. Oh that would get him eaten up. Sarnai giggled slightly at the thought. He was kinda cute. "Hm, I'm not picky. Not allowed to be." Which was true. Her handler had never really let her develop favorites or anything since sometimes she would have to make due what what he gave her. "Do you have a favorite food?" It would let her learn something about him as well as possibly try something new.

"I don't actually, but usually meat and veggies are good." He didn't like baked goods as much. But he would still eat them. "Maybe if we just follow our noses?" He lifted his head and hmmmed. "I smell a few good things on the air, let us go find them." He was having a delightful time, despite the teasing, his family teased each other constantly.

It made her wonder if not having a favorite was something that happened when someone wasn't given a chance to be picky. Sarnai hoped his childhood wasn't like hers. "Meat is okay. I'm not big on veggies but I'll eat them."Seeing him sniff out food reminded her of a radaku and she couldn't resist patting him on the head. "Good Fluffball. " Another little laugh escaped her. The shifter was having too much fun teasing him.

He smiled at her, letting her see the wild and starlight in his eyes, the part that made him an excellent beast tamer because deep down he was a beast himself. Now if she would just run her fingers through his hair one of these days. He had been lucky to find her again..or rather that she found him again. "Meat it is, and veggies for good measure." He felt every footstep in the sand, and savoured every moment. She was glorious.

Seeing the look he gave to being pat on the head made her snort a little. It was kinda cute. She'd have to remember that for later. "I suppose. Can we have something other than water to drink?" Sarnai didn't care if they served her alcohol at this point. She'd had nothing but water on the way down from Tale so she wanted something with a bit more flavor.

"Absolutely, they have juice, coffee, tea, and likely an assortment of fermented beverages if any of those strike your fancy." The world seemed sharper and clearer tonight, the sparks of the beach bonfires floating up to merge with the sky. It was idylic and a part of him was wish she would shove him up against a tree again. He wondered if perhaps he had a problem and his twin had been right all along. Iexa knew he was the more crazy of the pair.

With the list of available drinks she couldn't help but look over at Iexa. "Fremented huh? You trying to get me drunk?" Sarnai had a smirk as she asked him. Since this wasn't wasn't date she couldn't exactly say anything. The shifter wasn't likely to drink anything of the sort, she knew better than to let her mind become clouded, but it was still fun to tease Iexa. Ever since their first meeting she found he was an easy target.

"Its just an option." He smiled and ordered himself a fruit blend. "Delicious." He had no doubt she could likely handle her alcohol better than he could. She seemed like a powerful smart woman. "What if I wanted to make it a date Sarnai?"
