"Me? Really?" Zota chewed her lip thoughtfully. There was a lot to choose from. Should she pick out something that she had already read and enjoyed? Or maybe it would be better to pick out something entirely new?

Ah! That gave her an idea!

She looked up with an eager but hopeful expression. "Sometimes.. sometimes, they have two of the same book if it's really popular. We can pick out one of those and read it at the same time. Once we're done, we can talk about it together. Or we could read a couple chapters at a time! Then we would-" She paused, shyness mixing with her expression. "It would be something we could do together regularly.. until the book is done."

Zota's grin brightened with Tiam's approval of her idea. "Depending on how big the book is, we could just read a few chapters between our visits. Then we'd be sure to keep pace and finish at the same time. It'll be hard if it's a good book, but I think I could resist reading all the way through. Then you wouldn't be rushed if work takes up too much time for you." If the book was really good... she would try her best to resist!

They had reached the shop by then and she skipped a step ahead in order to grab the door, still keeping her fingers firmly linked with his. "Would you like to eat first or get the books picked out first?"

Zota wouldn't admit it too much, but she was quite excited to get the snacks first. While she wasn't that hungry, there was always room for a treat! "Sounds like a plan."

Naturally, the chaste hand kiss sent a flurry of delighted heat to her cheeks. Could these dates be any more perfect? As she stepped into the store, she paused to inhale deeply.. Sweets and teas and ink and paper... Yes, this was definitely one of her favorite places to be. Now that it would have a connection with Tiam, it would be even closer to the top of her list!
