Oly gave a light snort and crossed his arms. "I don't know about you, but I'm old enough to not have a bedtime." He still smirked with amusement. He had some pride after all! Getting plucked up like a sack of flour hadn't helped it earlier...
Ah, but there was a little balm for the burn on his soul~ His grin turned bashful with a matching shrug. "Not fights like that really.. but I've been training a lot lately. ..My dad's really strong and protects people." His gaze lowered briefly. A strong spirit like this woman wasn't about to go for the emotional, surely. Oly straightened his back up and nodded. "I'm gonna do that, too."

Mina held up her hands with a grin. "Sorry, sorry; didn't mean to step on your toes."
As he spoke she lowered her hands and listened. There was a lot of goodness inside of him which was refreshing after nearly being beaten up more times than she'd like to count in this country. So far she'd had the pleasure of meeting at least two who were kind, and for that Mina got a little closer to take his hand in hers. She gave it a little squeeze and really looked at him before backing up once more.
"You'll do great things, Oly; I know it. Just remember what you're doing them for and you'll be a fine man."

The woman's approach was unexpected, and he couldn't help subtly bracing himself. Yet, all she did was take his hand... As she studied him, he gladly took the opportunity to do the same. Her hands were calloused from training, and the hold was firm but gentle. She had such pretty eyes hidden in the depths of the mask...
Oly had to blink a couple times to get back to the present, bashful smile rising once more at the words. He knew he had some big steps to follow, and it was an intimidating notion. However, even he knew he wasn't his father. Their paths would be different, just with the same intent. Much like himself and this Hokulua woman.
"Thanks," he finally managed to murmured out shyly, resisting the urge to toe at the ground like a bashful youngling. "I could say the same thing about you."
One of the goons groaned softly, reminding Oly that there was still work to do. "I should go get those guards," he said, backing up slowly toward the town. "I guess, maybe, I'll see you around."

"I'll see you when I see you, Oly." Mina did her own backing up, but instead of moving closer to town she pressed further into the shadows. This wasn't the last of her work for the evening; after all, evil never slept. Still, that didn't mean the immature prentice in her didn't find her heart beating a little faster and an excitement in her blood that wasn't fight related.
After a few steps, Mina turned on her heel and raised a hand to wave toward him before stepping around the building into the night. She couldn't wait to tell Ami all about this, even if her friend was likely to scold her for going out alone in the first place.

That had been exhilarating, but also enlightening. He still had a lot of work to do before he could really help out against the real bad guys. He would get there though! He already had his father to live up to, but now this intriguing woman... A grin cocked lightly as he continued backing away, and he raised his hand in return. The mysterious vigilante vanished around the building, and he waited another moment before turning to head for the guard. Omari would never believe this!
