Jhin chuckled. “Fair enough. At least we have a theme now.” It sounded like everything was coming together for the nursery. “I’ll try to find some stuffed toys based on these birds and I’ll pick up other animals for the rest of our children.” He could try to get a witu or something for Cyrus and Sylas, Anahita would probably love a sermal, maybe Zota as well and then he would think about other gifts for them. They could all use new blankets before winter since the ones they had before were getting worn down over the years.

“Wooden toys for the boys.” Replied Kyril with a nod. “I saw Cyrus looking at some on a display the last time I took them into town with me. He seemed interested in building an army out of them and I think it would be nice to paint them with the boys later.” She could help them to paint whatever creature design they wanted as long as the wood was already cut. Kyril didn’t mind crafting glass objects but it was far too dangerous to give their young ones things like that just yet. Wooden creations were not exactly her style but she could definitely help paint them as an activity with the children while they waited on the arrival of their newest sibling or siblings.

“Sounds good. I can also Yvette since she’s good with crafting wooden things. I’ve seen her carve plenty enough while we’ve been on patrol.” He teased lightly as he thought about the Zenan hybrid who had joined their ranks a couple of years back. The young woman was talented with a bow from her time living in the northern area of Zena but she had fallen in love with the forest and begged Jhin to let her join the rangers. While Jhin was still wary of strangers because of the recent incident with bandits, the man had finally relented and was glad that he had done so.
“Is there anything else or should we call it a morning and go grab some lunch with everyone?” He asked after a moment of studying the room for a final time, taking note of the flooring as well. They could dye some wool or fur to make it a softer brown or green to cover the stone floor almost like a grassy field beneath their sky theme.

“I think we can grab lunch.” Confirmed Kyril with a small smile as she moved to take Jhin’s arm, her expression bright and hopeful as they finished setting a plan for the next few weeks. They could decorate the nursery then help reorganize the other rooms and get the rest of the family what they needed right before winter came around. For once she was honestly excited for the colder months and Kyril could not wait to meet their newest little one.

Jhin nodded as he squeezed Kyril’s arm before preparing to lead her downstairs. It seemed that life was becoming peaceful again and he was hopeful that it would stay this way. His situation with his aunt had been resolved, the rangers were expanding in their talents to sustain the village and his own family was growing even more now. Truly he was fortunate and he thanked the spirits for Kyril and the life that they were building together.
