"Well, it involved a smuggler, a brother and more bribes and payments then I can probably imagine, but we got her out easily enough, but not without a lot of stress on my part and I was not allowed to escort her all of the way due to my large snaptrotter and overall striking coloration. I didn't fit in with the Tale locals very well and there are not that many water ice hybrids around yet. Mom get on Uncle and Auntie to make more please."

He was pretty sure his mother was done with the kidlet having and would reign as grandma now.

The other braid bobbed as she nodded, flopping over his and her shoulders to dangle enticingly for the tanned bean. Her mother's advice worked well enough, though clingy fingers still got a couple hairs out. Instead, the boy had something wriggling in his starfish grasper. "Glad someone was thinkin' ahead. Gonna wanna meet this smuggler sometime, see if we can't adopt her. She already delivered our cubs to the nest, good as kin by now. So we've got a new brother too?" A glance towards the child her mother held. Red hair? Tanned skin? These foreigners come in weird pelts. Idle thought cut off when good strong jaws fastened on her fingertip. She didn't jerk back, but she did use her thumb to pinch at his lip a little. Startled, the new halfbreed let go and blinked, making wet, mouthy sounds.

She hadn't too much experience with earthling cubs yet. She'd held her nieces, her younger brothers, and little else. More for lack of opportunity than inclination. Not too different from most predator young, she decided. The furry ones. "As said, I can give her a look over later, have my master pop by an' double check." Truth be told, she'd been a better big sister when they began moving around. That she could connect to, and they'd been eager to keep up. "Otherwise, might get her inside soon. She needs rest an' quiet, from what I saw."

"You mean my pelt. Though his eyes are different than the other one with green eyes, they are darker I wonder if that is a hold out from your ladies ancestors?" She loved seeing the differences and similarities in the kids and grandkids.

There were definitely parts of her and Kiyelt in there. ?Though the red hair was startling, she couldn't help running her hands through it.

"Two wouldn't have been so hard really..I don't think but three is definitely alot. And they were not exactly small either." He hoped Terr would recover, he would be more worried if his own mother hadn't handily managed 7 births.

"Well its complicated from the way I understand that some of her siblings are legitimate and some are not, I'm given to understand that Terr was from a coupling that wasn't her Dad's wife and that was why she was set up with the worst husband ever. As a form of punishment from her stepmom. I am actually not sure how many siblings there are but I think there are three that would take pity on her, the brother who helped being among those three."

There were a lot of leaflings involved so he wasn't sure exactly how many people were included in the family.

Ein looked down at herself, at each babe in turn, to her mother, and went back to staring at her brother. She knew he could tell stories. He told good stories, she remembered! And she knew he wasn't stupid. He'd grown up around beast wrangling, he knew that big critters tended to have big cubs. He's still scrambled from everything, then. Gonna need to keep an eye on him, have a word with Mama later. His brain's gone wobbly. Rather more gently, she lowered her tone. "Y'think maybe y'should've warned her that we're big folk? Or that we tend towards litters of cubs?"

The story came, still in snips and scraps, and the young healer was getting tired of dragging every detail out. For most of it, she could probably talk to her new sister once the woman was up and talking. But certain things she wouldn't know, like the theft itself. From what Thallassa had said and inferred, she'd been stolen away with her boys mere hours after birthing. Coherence wouldn't be a virtue for that timeframe.

That hurt would come to this 'husband' of the leaf girl's was a given fact. Especially if he came sniffing around their ranch. None of this touched blue hands, still toying with olive fingers and finding out if this nephew was ticklish. (He was.)
"Kay. Good t'know. An' the smuggler? Are they still around to thank? An' maybe get a whole story I don't need to sew together myself?"

"I probably would have too if I hadn't listened to you first." She brandished her own large stick, usually used to keep snapping jaws away from herself while she worked on injured scalies. She looked uncannily like Einsol at that point.

"That poor girl has been through so much, I wonder if she will forgive us for not helping more.."


At least she had gotten away from the husband. "Her husband will face our collective wrath if he tries to take her back. You and your Dad with her permission can make inroads on getting the marriage canceled. I'm not sure how that works but I am sure there is a way..take Ein and Ushi too."

Finally he had figured out what his little sister actually wanted from him. Which was a relief. She was one of the feral twins after all. Seperate they were sometimes scary, though Ein balanced it with hugs. Together they were an actual force of nature. Though most of the time Ushi kept up the little brother bants, but his little brother was not so little anymore and he would probably be slightly cheesed off that Thal got all boys. Though he knew Ushi loved his girls to the moon and back.

"No I doubt I was allowed to do the stealing, I couldn't even play the part I wanted to because I look so different, but if I looked leaf then Carlos or Finley whatever his name is would have assumed the children were his."

It was a complicated mess but his little family unit was out now and safe. With his mothers assurance of protection he felt better and now if there was an altercation he could be seen and would be seen and would fight to the death if need be.

To Einsol, what was done tended to weigh oddly against results. If things turned out alright, even prickly matters could smooth over. On the other hand, that automatically took her particular taboos into account, and didn't consider that other people might not share the general set of rules. Asking which the important ones were tended to get someone a funny look, usually one that said 'what is wrong with you?'. They were that obvious (to her) and didn't need explaining.

Whether he'd been allowed the actual filching by his temporary pack was beside the point. The girl and her boys were safe. Thalassa's mate and her litter were theirs now. If this Carlos fellow thought differently, he was welcome to try and take her back. From what she'd been told of the relationship, the fellow was likely to catch an arrow with something sensitive for his troubles. All that could wait, as she wiggled her finger out of a baby's grip and began easing up to a standing position. "Violence can wait. Let's go get your lady checked over and settled."
