Sitara were cute but definitely not as awesome looking as the snarling radaku. Zira let out a soft sigh before taking the piece in her hands. It was really thin and would be perfect to sit in the middle of a book or something to mark a spot. She blinked at the realization before grinning. “I like it! We can get this one for Noll and maybe the radaku one too? Though it might be for me and not for mama…” She asked sheepishly as she glanced towards her father. Maybe it was a bit selfish but she really would love to keep that by her bedside until she could get her own familiar one day.

“As long as you also find something for your mother then it’s fine.” Relented Verosh. “But you’ll have to work hard to earn it.” He added quickly as he watched his daughter’s fingers curl tightly over the ornament. Not everything was given freely, that much he made certain of with Zira. “There’s a list of chores for you when we get home, but let’s pick something out for your mother. What about a new pair of gloves for the forge?”

“Oooh that could work! Maybe we could get her some of those nice candles too. The vendor said they added things so that they smell nice while they burn.” It wasn’t as smoky as incense and could be really nice to have the house smelling like flowers or something pleasant like that after a long day. She also wanted to get her mother a bracelet of round stones that were green and blue which reminded her of their family, the pale colors working beautifully together on a twisted cord. It didn’t take long before Zira had another bag full of goodies to share with her family, the gifts hanging at her side with the satchel that she had stuffed with a few more treats as they finished shopping.

Verosh could only smile as he watched his daughter bouncing between all of the stalls. They had thankfully gotten all the supplies he needed and he had spare coin to spend thanks to his father’s help, something he had hidden from Zira for fear she would want to gather even more gifts during their trip. Still it did not stop him from picking up a new walking stick for his father and a few other things for the rest of the family. Once they were finished shopping Verosh would be glad to go home. The markets were crowded and often too loud for his own comfort, his daughter’s eagerness and happy demeanor something that he secretly fought to protect as he made certain no one dangerous approached her as they browsed through everything. Verosh had the feeling that they would definitely be sleeping well tonight as both of them seemed exhausted and started the long trek home, their silence a testimony to their fading energy.

Like usual Zira had her moment of high energy but by the end of the day she was burned out. The youngling let out a loud yawn as she leaned against her Papa for a moment before leaning away again. “It’s going to be a long walk home, right?” She commented with a soft sigh as her father didn’t need to respond. Maybe she really could convince him about finding some mounts for next time. Even poor Tae seemed so tired! Zira knew that by the time they arrived home she would barely have the energy to give her gifts to everyone before going and finally passing out in her own bed. But she convinced herself that she could consider this training and so Zira trudged along determined to not slow down her father as they headed home.
