Damn. That would have been almost romantic potential in the right circumstances. Ephrym almost quipped had it not been for the mention of Yael. "We should be headed to that city soon enough after stocking up here. I have a few things to trade before going back to Belrea. Need a ride?" He offered with a raised brow. Others, especially his first mate, probably would have chastised him for offering so freely but Ephrym was in a generous mood and he would like to think he was a decent judge of character. Unless she had some vendetta against a Belrean there were no ties that would brew trouble for them with just one foreigner...he would hope.
"Who doesn't?" He replied with a chuckle. "Though I could spend hours just rambling when we're supposed to be enjoying drinks. Seems awfully one sided if I spilled all of my best secrets and stories on the first meeting."

"Depends on how long it takes you to stock up. I've already got a ticket for a ship that leaves tomorrow night, but I'd much rather go with you." It would help to have a crew that knew how to handle themselves if a fight started out, and while she was sure the others might be able to Adenah didn't like taking unnecessary risks.
At least, not in that regard.
"If it doesn't work out then maybe I can catch a ride with you out of Yael?" There weren't as many ports leaving the island so fate may very well work out in her favor that way. Still, even if it didn't she'd had fun tonight and that's what mattered. It helped to loosen the nerves that curled so tight around her heart.
Taking a drink herself, Adenah gave an agreeable 'hmm'. "Fiiiinnnee, next time then!"

"We probably will depart the morning after. Gives the crew something to look forward to since we'll end up there around evening." That was the best time to go to the pub and then they could unload the cargo the next morning after spending a night in port. It was the same schedule they relied upon this time which was why he was enjoying another night in a tavern when tomorrow the true work and haggling with merchants would begin. "So I suppose it just depends on your urgency if a day or so makes or breaks the deal. In all seriousness though if you need help getting out of Yael we usually stop by closer towards Oba on the way back to Belrea after." Even though Ephrym enjoyed being adventurous he wasn't quite fond of going into the uncharted seas for standard cargo exchanges...one day though he was going to scour all of the ocean, including the unknown beyond Yael and the new islands.
"Though I guess it also depends on how long you plan on being in Yael." He commented wryly as he took another drink and gestured for a refill, the brew warming his stomach and making his gaze gleam. Not that Ephrym got drunk easily, but it definitely did help to loosen him up a bit after a long sailing trip. "A few days then it's possible to catch a ride out, but anything longer wouldn't agree with the ship's tight schedule. Not that I mind lingering to enjoy the area more, but the first mate would definitely be after my hide for burning time."

"I'm on a strict time table so I really have to pass, but...that return trip could work." It may have been easier to go with Ephyrm, but even if it was just another few days she couldn't afford to wait any longer. Taking another drink from her ale, Adenah swirled the slowly depleting liquid with a passive shake of the stein. "I don't plan on staying on Yael from longer than I have to so meeting back up with you and your crew wouldn't be difficult."
Thinking on it, she dug around to the pouch at her side and pulled out ten gold. The hybrid sat it on the counter top and slid it Ephyrm's way. "I'm not sure how much you charge, but consider that a down payment so you'll hold my place."

"Consider it done." Promised Ephrym before pushing a couple of the coins back towards Adenah. "Also consider that a thanks for the game and drinks." He commented with a smile before finishing another drink. At least his evening had been entertaining thanks to Uula. Now here was hoping the rest of the journey to Yael and back would continue providing entertainment like tonight. It would be something to look forward to for certain.
