The Shepard Class Choice Solo Nesirah wrung her hands in her lap, squeezing and turning the robe draped over her shoulder nervously. She was in Oba now, about the furthest kind of place you could get from Zena, and her throat felt dry and scratchy. She knew what she needed to do, and had always known in her heart the reason she had been put on Tendaji. It was her duty to follow the path of Bergchi. Her mountain goddess would guide her and with her blessings she would spread the love of her goddess to those around her. Bergchi was wonderful, a beautiful figure to behold, and Nesirah held firmly that those around her could be better people if only they could feel the way Nesirah felt.
She was determined to lead those around her to a better life through Her word.
She had decided while she was in Oba to learn about the others they called their gods and reflect on the Oban people and how their beliefs impacted their culture. She knew, of course, of the history of Oba. The still recent history and their determination to hold slaves all these years past. Nesirah didn't agree with it, and felt like the religion in Oba could be a large part in shaping what had caused them to do such vile things for centuries. She didn't really understand what the alure was, couldn't justify it even to herself.
She looked upon the statues in the hall before her and shuddered. The teachings here didn't seem to be that much in conflict with what she had learned from Bergchi and the priests to the north, but she just felt like she was missing a significant clue. Something had to give, there wasn't a reason people as a whole society could just be so... evil.
She stood from her spot with a renewed determination. Perhaps that was the reason she was to be in Oba in the first place, to give balance in her life. To learn from Oba and be better. And even if she couldn't convert the majority of the people she could spread the knowledge of Bergchi and improve upon the mindsets of those who were willing to listen.
