The grin on Pynar's face didn't go away as he had ran away from her but stopped immediately when he heard a soft cry behind him. Quickly he turned around to see that she had fallen. The grin vanished as he started to worry. Did she twist her ankle? Did she hurt her foot? Her leg? Was she okay? Was she going to be mad at him that he had caused her to chase after him and fall? He rushed back to her but slowed as he got close so that he wouldn't kick any sand up into her face. "Kitya..." Py said as he exhaled. "Are you okay? What can I do?" He asked hesitantly. He didn't want to try and start 'helping' since he had no medical knowledge and didn't want to make anything worse or hurt her more by trying to do something.

Success. Admittedly though there was a moment of guilt as Kitya realized how worried Pynar appeared. He's too sweet for this world. She thought with a quiet sigh as he approached. Since he was already so close she may as well commit to her prank and apologize later, right? Kitya grimaced before holding up a hand towards Pynar. "I think I just need help getting up." She admitted meekly even though she was fully prepared to tug him down into the sands when he did reach out to her.

"Okay are you sure you're not hurt? I could probably piggy back you into town if we need to get your ankle looked at..." Pynar wasn't about to act like some big macho man, he had toned up a little from carrying the large sacks of baking supplies but he wouldn't consider himself strong. He held out both of his hands for her to grasp so he could try and do the majority of the work involved in getting her back on her feet.

"As tempting as your offer is..." Kitya began with a small smile crossing her lips as Pynar offered his hands. "I think I'll be okay." Her smile brightened as she tugged at Pynar's hands so that she could pull him down. It was a playful antic to get him into position so that she could boop his nose in retaliation for the earlier shenanigans. Still after she booped his nose with her finger the Yaeli woman found herself pausing as she realized they were less than a breath apart. "...boop." She breathed quietly, a rare flush decorating her own cheeks for once.

The young man's eyes went wide as he found himself falling forward. 'That little pran-' His thoughts were cut off as Kitya booped his nose and almost in the same breath he realized how close he had gotten to her in falling. It was kind of a miracle that he hadn't fallen on top of her. His eyes searched her face and saw her blush which caused his own to deepen. "I suppose you are okay..." Py said just as quietly as he stayed as still as he could. Should he move? Probably. Yet he found himself unsure if he actually should which caused his ears to get hot with embarrassment. "I..uh..." And now he was an idiot again... 'great' he thought to himself. Pynar cleared his throat before grabbing the hand that had booped his nose and a hand other the other elbow as he pulled them to standing. Though they were standing...it didn't exactly change their current predicament. He looked away shyly and adjusted his glasses.

Was he going to move or? Kitya found herself holding her breath with anticipation. Was her heart racing a little bit there? Yes. Did she really hope that something came out of their closeness? Possibly. But did she want to ruin a friendship with her usual flirtatious behavior? Kitya chewed the inside of her cheek with sudden hesitation. Normally she didn't care about these things especially after taking on the role of Nagini who used such behavior to loosen tongues while gathering information from patrons at her workplace, but Pynar was different. He was a sweet spirit who was a light compared to her world that was constantly in the shadows. I shouldnt. She thought with her heart twisting with something akin to dismay.
She lingered against him for a moment longer before finally taking a step away. "I suppose we should find that flower." She mused quietly. "Let me grab my skirt. It's dry if you need for your glasses too." She offered peering back towards him, suddenly behaving as if she were the shy one.

Pynar hesitated for a moment more before taking a step back as well. "You're right....And then you can give me that tour of town you promised?" He laughed nervously, a blush still on his face. "No-I-uh. My clothes are over there..." Pynar pointed to the other side where he had entered the water which seemed to be the other side of the little oasis. 'That would explain why I didn't know she was here...' Py thought to himself. "I'll meet you back over here in a few minutes? I'll look on my way as well and see if I can find the flowers quickly..."

Kitya nodded, the urge to tease him for the blush growing stronger by the second. "We'll find that flower and head into the city. I know quite a couple of good places for food. It's only fair that I get to take care of today's date since you helped me last time." She winked playfully towards Pynar before walking away, her hips swaying teasingly as she went towards her belongings. Tying her skirt back on, Kitya tugged her sandles back onto her feet and tied her sash around her waist. Her Keldari hissed their protests but slithered back into her satchel, their bodies twisting together to continue their nap as Kitya carried them along.
"Any luck?" Kitya called out as she came back towards the spot, her silver gaze trying to find the flowers along the way.

Pulling his clothes on quickly, he used his shirt to dry off his glasses before running a hand through his hair to try and fix what strands had fallen out of place. Still, there were no flowers. The corner of his lips turned down slightly as he made his way back to meet Kitya. "No....unfortunately. I don't need them until tomorrow afternoon though, so maybe I'll come back tomorrow morning." Maybe they were the kind that only bloomed at a certain time. In any case, he was ready to go though he wasn't quite sure what he should think about her calling their outing a 'date'. That didn't mean anything right? It was just two friends going to get food together. "No I uh I don't think I can let you do that....I think my parents might be a little disappointed in me if I let a girl pay for my meal. Your choice, I'll pay." He hoped she would be able to tell that he was serious.

Kitya raised a brow. "What's wrong with letting another hard working person buy a meal? I'm not here to just make you pay for my food." She replied with a frown before glancing about once more. "If you insist upon paying then at least let me get some drinks or something." She added quickly as to not offend him for his kindness. Kitya crossed her arms though as stubbornness took over. Surely they could find this plant first. "What does the flower look like exactly? We still have a few hours before the sun gets lower. You're staying in the city? If not I can put out a spare bedroll in my apartment."

"It's not that...." Py struggled to try and explain himself but turns out he didn't have to since she found a compromise. Nodding his head in agreement, "Sure, we can do that." He shuffled his feet. "The flower is supposed to be purple with three petals. My mentor just said it should be here but I wonder if it might be one of those kinds that only blooms at a certain time..." He thought more on that option for a moment. "Yeah I'm staying in the city. I'm renting a room not too far from the bakery I'm apprenticed at."

Kitya nodded. She wasn't going to argue with him, not when it seemed to mean a lot to Pynar to buy dinner. Her lips pursed thoughtfully at the description for the flowers. "If they're bell shaped then I may recognize it." She admitted as she tried to place the description with anything she had seen before. Some flowers only bloomed at night when it was dark but if it was constantly dark then perhaps...Kitya smirked at the realization. "I think they grow in darker areas. Even if it's not night there's a shallow cave along the edge of this oasis. We could surely find a couple growing there." She explained to Pynar with a smile. "Since we both have places in the city it should be ok to take the time to look around? We can have a late dinner and go to our apartments afterwards unless it's easier to stay at one place over the other." It was a teasing statement but an offer nonetheless. What if Pynar lived farther away than she did from the dinner location? It would be a shame to make him walk so far in the evening, especially in the city.

"I'm not actually sure what they look like...all I was given was this vague description..." Pynar frowned as he listened to Kitya. His mouth made a soft 'o' as he realized she was probably right! "You're brilliant!" He laughed. "Let's go check it out!" He said enthusiastically. When the talk turned to places to stay his blush returned. He'd never stayed with anyone but family before so he wasn't really sure what to think of the offer. At least he would more than willingly give up his room to her if she needed somewhere to stay....though his room was kind of a one room type of deal so even if he were to sleep on the couch they'd still be in the same room...Pynar shook his head slightly as if physically trying to change his line of thought. "Whatever we need to do." He figured in this case it was probably just easier to agree than to get all embarrassed even more.

Kitya laughed at Pynar's reaction. It seemed happiness could be contagious, not that she was complaining. It had been a while since she felt so light hearted and it was nice. "If I'm correct you'll have to think of a way to reward me later." She teased before gesturing for him to follow her. "We can figure out the sleeping situation after dinner." She was mostly teasing again just to see that blush but in all honestly Kitya was a bit afraid to let Pynar roam about in the more dangerous areas after dark. Maybe it would be best to pick a place closer to him. Not that Kitya wanted the hybrid to worry about her, but more so she was accustomed to dealing with such things from living here the last few weeks.
Either way she was focused on the flower for now. Kitya waited for Pynar to follow her before walking back the way she had originally come, passing the trees she slept beneath earlier that morning to navigate along the edges of the oasis. "Just be careful of anything wild around here...but there should be a cave near those rocks. It's shallow but deep enough to let something live or grow inside." She explained as she pointed out the area surrounded by a bit more trees than what they had seen earlier. Behind that was just pure desert so surely the flowers were nearby.

"Alright." He agreed as he allowed her to lead them to where she had seen the cave. "Hopefully there are some close to the mouth of the cave so we don't have to figure out if there is actually anything living in it." He might be a little more of a scared-y cat than he'd like to admit and definitely didn't want to show that in front of Kitya. That thought made him ponder, why did that idea bother him? Granted...she was one of his few friends outside of his family. Nevertheless, he'd chew on those emotions later. It didn't take them long to find the cave and Pynar approached cautiously. Pausing for a few moments outside, Py tried to hear if there was anything moving in there. When it didn't sound like anything to him, he took a few tentative steps inside. The light dimmed but not as much as to make his vision a problem or his eyes to have to adjust. Towards the back, he thought he saw something purple. "I think I see something back there..." Cautiously he walked back before finding a smattering of small purple flowers with three petals. He smiled triumphantly. "Found them." He said softly, and set himself to pick quite a few. Pynar wasn't sure how much they would need for the cake but he tried to take enough to have some left over but to not strip the whole cave bare of them. There had to be a balance after all.
