Hearing what he said made Ethan want to slug the guy, but he then thought it over, "Hmm... alright then, how about a little wager then?" He asked looking at Zach, "Me and you, our best gijinka, 1v1 battle. If I win, you bugger off, Lellum and Zaria will never have to see you again and you stay away from them for the rest of your life. If you win, Lellum will have to go back to you, you can sell Zaria to the buyer and..." he said as he pulled up his bag, holding a golden orb, the size of a ping pong ball, "This is a big nugget, I have 20 of them. Thats 100grand in credits. All of them are yours, if you win fair and square." He stated putting the wager on the table.

Ethan saw how fast Zach took the deal, seeing as the man seemed cocky but as he left, he sighed as he looked at Lellum, "I wont lose to him, I promise you wont go back to him." He said as he knew this wasnt a battle that he planned to lose, he knew he had to win but he wasnt cocky, he was confident of course but that was because he believed in his gijinka. When the hour came to around, he stood on the field, motioning to Zach, "After you sir." He said being generous.

Ethan didnt have to worry about his choice, he had Lance walk forward, he drew his sword and basically vanquished the Weavile Gijinka with steel type moves, taking out the ice/dark type. Once defeated, he smiled but looked at Lellum as he nodded to her, "See, I told you I wouldnt let you down." He said as he turned to look at Zach, "We had a deal, Lellum and Zaria are free from you, you will stay away from them from now on. Here, to be somewhat a good sport." He said tossing a single big nugget to Zach, "For the good battle... now get going." He said crossing his arms before going to Lellum, "Lets go see Zaria." He said wheeling Lellum back inside so they could see her daughter.

Ethan smiled as she thanked them but he smiled as he looked at Zaria, "I wasnt going to stand by and let Zaria be taken from her mother. Both Lance and I would battle anyone to make sure that you were safe." He said kindly to her, "Til you find a trainer you trust, both you and Zaria will be under our protection." He said kindly to her, figuring she would find a trainer she trusts to give her pokeball. He also figured that at some point, Zaria would need her own ball as well, he could supply Lellum with one if she needed it.

Ethan smiled as she said that, but he could hear Zaria making cute little noises as he noticed her looking at him, he gently sat by her and gently put his hand close to Zaria, he smiled gently, "Youre just a sweet little thing, gonna be just like your mama." He said happily, as he was happy to see that Zaria was healthy and would remain in Lellum's care. He thought it over as he looked to Lellum, "I will say this, he may have been an as... been a terrible human being but, he did give you an adorable little girl." He said giving one credit to Zach, but he felt that all the credit should have gone to Lellum.

Hearing what was said, he thought it over as he couldnt help but agree that the guy was terrible but Lellum had a loving little daughter. He felt her little hand grasp his finger and he smiled as he noticed her blanket shifting from her wagging tail but then he looked up to Lellum, before being surprised by her request. He gently reached over and accepted her gijinka ball, "I would be honored to be your trainer, to both you and little Zaria here." He said kindly as he saw Zaria cooing to him, he gently smiled and watched as she seemed so happy, "I promise to do my best." He said sincerely to helping raise Zaria but he seemed a bit concerned, "Protecting you and Zaria is one thing... but are you sure im worthy enough to be your trainer and Zaria's? To be Zaria's trainer is equal to being like a father to her." He said softly.

Hearing what she said, he gently smiled as he would accept being their trainer as he would call in Lance who was waiting outside guarding. Ethan gently asked if he could hold Zaria and he craddled her but he helped her see Lance, "Look, its uncle Lance, hes an Empoleon Gijinka." He said softly as Lance tilted his masked face before removing it, he looked normal with black hair, but he smiled, "Hello Zaria, welcome to the family." he said softly, but in a more subtle serious tone, he was more refined in his stance, very much like the prince or royal in stance.

He smiled seeing that Zaria snuggled against him, he could tell she saw him as her trainer or maybe even her papa. Either way, he was happy to see her little smiling face as he held her in his arms.

*5 years later*
Five years would pass for the group, Ethan found a good job in a town and rented a timeshare like contract for a house they could stay in to raise Zaria for a while til she was old enough to travel. He could see over the years that Zaria saw him as her father, and he couldnt say he didnt have feelings for Lellum. That being said, it had been discussed they would be leave town and resume traveling, their stuff they had acquired over these past five years were being shipped back to Ethan's home town. He woke up sharing a bed with Lellum, Lance and Zaria had their own rooms. Ethan woke up and stretched, however knowing how excited Zaria was, he could hear her little pitter patter sound of her feet coming to wake him so he gently laid back down and pretended he was still asleep.
