He had to stare down at the girl he held in his arms when she mentioned stopping at an Inn. With a single raised brow he blinked. "You.. this is your first time traveling alone, isn't it?" Lynx would put money on that one. "You don't just stop at an Inn with a stranger." He sighed and looked up at the sky, praying that his little sister was nothing like this in the future.
"You don't even know my name or if I could be a bandit or something." He shook his head at her but continued to walk. He knew the perfect town to take her to, and the Inn's there were actually nice.

She narrowed her eyes at him. "So what if it is?" Though what he said next did make sense. Kina didn't feel threatened though. The boy was nice. And she had her weapon so she'd be fine.
"Alright then, what is your name? Are you a bandit?" Not that she was sure why it mattered. If he was a bandit he'd had taken off with her things when she'd handed them over to him. Why bother taking her with him at all? "How do you know I'm not a bandit?"

"My name is Lynxdaroch." Yes, he was going to make her say that mouthful. There was no way he was letting her use his nickname. Of course there was little chance she'd get his name confused with someone elses either. And if she ever tried to find him his name alone would lead her right to him. "Not a bandit." Of course he did smirk at that. His mother and grandfather were thieves and he knew a few tricks of the trade thanks to them, but he hadn't followed in their footsteps.
"You're not a bandit either. If I had to guess I'd say you're a runaway." The nice clothes, her overall personality, and the fact that this was her first time really out.. well he had to wonder if maybe he shouldn't return her to Matori.

When he gave his name she had to snort a little. It was a lot. "No nickname?" Something easier? "That'll be a hassle."
After learning that he wasn't a bandit, though not what he actually was, she moved so that her arms were cross in front of her chest. "I'm not a runaway." Kina insisted. While she might see how he could think that it was still somewhat insulting.
"My name is Nykinae and I'm old enough to travel on my own. I'm going to Zena because my dad is from there." And she wanted to see it. To her it made sense. She was a daddy's girl so why not see the place her dad was from?

"Nope." He popped the 'p' at the end and grinned. He might have to carry her but he could be annoying if he wanted to be. Lynx chuckled a little when she said it would be a hassle.
"Well, nice to meet you Nykinae. Maybe next time you meet someone, don't force them to carry you. They might not be as nice." He had to admit he worried about the girl if this was how she was near strangers. What if it had been some creep or something? The thought was concerning. "We'll see about getting you on a caravan when we get to town. It'll be safer for you." Lynx kept walking and only had to adjust his hold on her a few times.
