“This is my first.” Admitted Alinta quietly. “I didn’t mean to get in a fight but they had been so rude and I couldn’t hold my tongue. Even if I’m a hybrid I’m still from a noble family.” A sigh left her lips, tears burning in her gaze at her own frustrations.

“Shh. It’s okay.” Xylia let out a sigh of her own as she rubbed the girl’s back comfortingly. “Some people are just rude and full of useless hatred. Don’t take it to heart, okay?” Her expression shifted though as she could only imagine what she would like to do if someone tried something like that with her. Picking on a child! What a jerk!
“Now that you’re bandaged up do you want to go shopping? I could use a new outfit myself.” She offered with a small smile towards Alinta.

Alinta swallowed back her tears even though a sob threatened to escape at the sudden comfort. It was rare when she lost her composure but today had been rough. The girl just sniffled and wiped at her eyes before nodding. “That sounds nice. I can treat you since you’ve helped me so much today.”

“Don’t sweat it.” Xylia chuckled before helping the girl back up. “I always enjoy helping out young ladies in distress.” She smiled warmly before holding her hand back out for the girl to take. “Let’s go get some sweets after. That sounds nice too.”

Alinta nodded as she slowly took the other girl’s hand. It was strange to receive help from a stranger who didn’t seem to care about her status or anything like that. Alinta was happy though because it meant that Xylia truly was a nice person and she appreciated the help. She just hoped that everything would heal up quickly so as to not worry her mother. The last thing she wanted was for Arima to ever find out that she was injured! Calix and Qaisan would probably look down at her for it as well. The very thought made Alinta sigh as she followed Xylia back into the city so that they could go shopping.
