Rista grunted as her water broke. "Well we might soon find out, quick get the healer Umen, its going to happen!"
She gasped as she felt the first small cramp. This was the part she had been looking forward too and also dreaded.
"Here we go, no looking back, everything will be okay, get your big butt over here now Blue Boy."
She needed him.

At first he thought she was pulling his leg but he heard the stressed excitement in her voice. She was ready, it was time. It was TIME! He scrambled to get everything ready and rushed out like a shot to get the healer.
He alerted her and she said she would come. It was great to have a midwife.
He prepped Rista's room for her. He made himself a tea after he was done and waited.

She got into the big bed where they had started their life together and prepared herself to bring new life into the family. The healer would arrive soon.
She hoped it wasn't going to be a long labour she had no idea of knowing how giving birth had gone for her mother. But Umen's familiar face was there for comfort and that would have to do while she stared into the abyss of the unknown.
This was likely going to hurt but she was going to make it.

He sat behind her giving her his warm and support while she sweated through the labor, he was glad he couldn't see all that much from where he was this was good, and she didn't have to worry about him keeling over when the baby finally came.
The healer was coaching, "Three more big pushes Rista, you can do it."
He felt nips of pain in his hands where her nails cut in, he wished he could take the pain but from the noises she had been making he wasn't sure he would have survived it.
"You have got this girl." He whispered in her ear and bit her earlobe gently.

His distraction helped and snarling she gave three more pushes, and then there was silence follows by tiny but surprisingly loud squalling cries, raspy in a new born voice.
"One down and another big push, there one more you have it!"
Another set of cries joined the first and then hers and Umen's joined the new little voices.
"Yesssss!" It was over she had done it.
Then there were two perfect little babies laid in her arms.
"They are so sweet!"
