“I’m fine,” Devyn answered, practically automated. What had he asked–foam? Why would a Mauvian give him foam? Why would he need Mauvian foam? Probably questions best left for later, especially if he was looking a little sick. He’d rather slip away for a few minutes and freshen up if he could; the last thing he wanted to do was give any impression of weakness.
“Maybe I could get that shower, though. And borrow something to wear until I can get anything a little fresher out.”
The outfit he was wearing did not match what they were wearing, and ordinarily that wouldn’t have bothered him in the slightest. Michael had only just stressed the importance of not powering up, and he figured ‘lying low’ might have fit into that category too. Not that he was planning on going out before they said it was safe to do so, but still.
“Unless this is fine,” he said, and smoothed out his shirt. There was nothing wrong in it, it didn’t seem wrinkled or otherwise unkempt, just different. “After that, I think I might appreciate a little rest between now and tonight.”
It was probably safer than anything else he’d find; there was a nook he could reach under the bridge by the river, but it was chilly up there and this place was significantly more comfortable.

Michael shrugged when Devyn asked about his own outfit. “Whatever makes you more comfortable. People wear what they want.” For the most part.
“While you’re resting, we can have your clothes cleaned if you’d like. I have a machine that shouldn’t damage it,” he offered. Not a normal washing machine, of course. He had nice suits that he-- never wore. But like hell he was going to bring them to an actual dry cleaners when he could just buy the machine that does the same job in his own home. “Come on, I can show you where to go. And don’t worry, I’ll show you how to work the shower faucet, too. Nothing’s worse than being in someone else’s home and not knowing how to use their shower,” Peter sighed and nodded his head towards the stairs to lead the way.
As long as they could keep Devyn occupied until they figured out what to do with him, then maybe none of them would disappear from the timeline.
