“Jhin…” Kyril felt her heart flutter in her chest as she realized she trusted his words. “I’ll never doubt you again.” She promised with a small smile, especially since she had recently overcome her own trial of the heart to realize that she truly loved Jhin. Kyril leaned forward so that she could place another kiss on his lips as if to seal the promise. She was ready to go home and return to their daughters so that they could focus on their family. As she pulled away again a soft laugh left her lips. “It is a bit sad though because I wanted to surprise you with some crazy proposal but here we are…”

“A proposal?” Jhin found himself chuckling in turn as he playfully twisted the end of Kyril’s braid. “It turns out that we were thinking similar thoughts. I may have brought some gifts with the idea of proposing a more permanent partnership?” He admitted in turn. “I truly meant what I said about you having my heart and I would love to commit to that bond if you would have me.” Perhaps it wasn’t the most romantic moment but honestly Jhin didn’t care as long as he was with Kyril and she would have him.

“Of course.” Kyril didn’t hesitate to answer Jhin’s question as she suddenly tugged a necklace out from beneath her tunic. “But I get to do this first so you can’t take the full credit.” The hybrid woman pulled out the necklace which held matching rings, gemstones decorating the finely twisted metal, and then in traditional fashion she knelt and held them out towards Jhin. “Will you marry me?” Kyril asked with a playful smile. “I want to experience everything in this life together and spend every moment with you that I can. If we have more children I’ll consider that a bonus, but for now I’m content just getting to grow older with you while raising our precious daughters together.”

“You’re something else.” Replied Jhin as he crouched down in the sands and took the rings from Kyril so that he could place one on his finger and the other one on her own. “I would love to marry you and raise a family together, Kyril. I could not imagine going through this life with anyone else.” And he meant every word of that. Jhin smiled as he moved forward so that he could capture Kyril’s lips with his own again. Perhaps they would have a few more hours to spend together out here in this cove before going back to her home. They did have quite a bit of time to make up for after all and Jhin wanted to make certain Kyril felt every bit of his affections for her.

A chuckle of delight escaped Kyril’s lips as Jhin placed the ring on her finger. As he kissed her the hybrid woman returned the kiss, her body leaning into his as she started to tug at his shirt so that they could truly enjoy their reunion together. “A nice swim could work.” She managed in between kisses as she directed them towards the more remote part of the cove where she knew they could have plenty of privacy to catch up on everything that they owed one another for the last few months apart.
