"So you want," Lysvi pursed his lips as he let Yddagen have the rice pudding, "texture. Okay. I think I have more texture, too."
He had so many bags, and he decided that maybe he should put them down while he ate the ice cream and also searched through them slowly. What was a dish they had procured that was sweet and similar in texture to rice pudding--
"You might like this, too. I got it from a street vendor." The concept of street vendors was still so odd to Lysvi. Why did someone need to stand on a street corner to sell things? "They called it," Lysvi tried his hardest to get the pronunciation right for this one, "sakkari pongal," he was fairly sure it was right, "and it's a warm sweet dessert. With cashews and texture."

Yddagen's eyebrows rose minutely, but he took the food regardless. "Cashews?" He had to remember, a moment, what a cashew was. A tree nut. It looked very odd. Not the part of the fruit one might expect to eat. Ah, eating.
He was supposed to be eating it.
Yddagen took a spoonful of this dessert and brought it closer to his face. It didn't smell strongly, and it did not seem to be a weird too-sweet half-liquid. Maybe it would taste as good as the rice pudding. A spoonful later and a minute or so of thoughtfully moving his tongue in his mouth, Yddagen turned to Lysvi.
"This is better."
