"Well, what do you think? Shall we cover more ground and search a little further through these railyards? "
He asked amicably, turning back to the woman he'd been assigned to work with.

"I think we've got a good equipment set between us if we do run into any creatures masquerading as cats."

Painite, watching the happenings for the other two with interest and a big grin on her face, nodded her head when Zinkenite spoke to her. She wanted to have some fun, as well, though she figured she would have a much better time with a smaller audience to keep track of.

Less questions, less resistance, more fun. That was the hope, anyway.

"Yes, let's go look around! Those spooky cars are still calling to me!" She reached to hook her arm with her poor new partner in crime, tugging him with her as she hurried her way toward one of the rail cars, holding up her shard as they went.

As she continued to watch Nitratine, Stibnite reached for her communication device and flipped it open. In a quick sweep, she sent a single message towards the other two of their party.

Regroup.

As she sent the device back into subspace, her eyes flickered back towards the darkness. Spinning the net in her hands, she glanced once more. "Then let's see if it likes a cat toy."

Painite's crystal lit up brightly, and although the rail cars called to her the crystal seemed to be conveying the same message as their communicators chimed in to accentuate. There was something in the direction of their Team Leader and their other teammate.

Zinkenite's still didn't register much of anything. At all. Strange, really, given that everyone else's seemed to be guiding them in the right direction. With new technology there was always a chance that something had slid through the cracks and his crystal in particular just wasn't working. Of course, there was also a chance that he hadn't found the right wavelength to focus his energy back into it yet to give it the spark it needed to come to life.

Back with Nitratine & Stibnite, the alley was still quiet. Mostly. It seemed like any other alley behind a posh establishment. A wooden pallet was leaning against a large dumpster not far from a stack of other pallets and some smaller, round metal trash cans. If either of them looked closely enough on the ground they might see traces of cat prints scattered about in varying sizes. There hadn't been just one cat in this alley. Maybe someone was feeding the local strays?

Before either of them could get very far into the alley a trash lid clattered to the ground and a shadowy figure darted behind the stack of pallets where it could then be heard trying to scramble beneath the dumpster. Was it trying to get away? Or trying to recover something? Whatever it was, it was definitely going to need to be lured or chased out...

“Oh! Too true…” Zinkenite said cautiously raising his net on a pole in preparation to try and catch whatever got flushed out.

"Perhaps I can just..."
He started to say and edged forward to try and get closer to where the thing had been last seen. After all, how dangerous could it be? It was the size of a cat?

Then again, there had been that teddy bear hamster when he was young... he thought ruefully remembering the bloodthirsty if otherwise adorable little friend.

Well, at least now he had a net and a team! This was fine.
