He shook his head slightly. "Nope. Pure Matorian. He won't tell me how his eyes are like that though. He just smiles at me and changes the subject." Something that always bothered Visha but he would figure it out one day.

"Hm, never thought about it giving me and edge." Maybe he should make his eyes a focal point? Makeup or something to bring the attention there? He'd certainly think about it.

"Oh, my mother's family is from Sulburi. I'll have to visit and see if I can't find you then." It sounded like he would need to visit with one of his aunts or uncles then.

"He's not hard to miss. Down at the docks and he's basically the brick wall on the ship telling people what to do." Visha knew his dad did more than just move the cargo. He'd gained enough status with his captain and crew that he could give orders. Don't ask Visha how the whole thing worked though, he honestly didn't know.

The advice about his eyes was nice. He'd been thinking about doing the kohl already. So he smiled and nodded. His mother had some at home so he could just ask her if he could use it.

He took the broach and turned it over in his hand, looking at it closely. He liked the design. "Alright."

Visha chuckled at that. He could just imagine his dad talking about someone staring at him later tonight. Maybe he should have people go stare at him more often.

At being told to consider earrings he looked at Xipili and smiled. See! Even a stranger thought he'd look good with some! Now he just needed to fully convince his mother to let him get his ears pierced. Perhaps he could argue that a new friend said he'd look good with them. Hopefully that would work.

"I'll keep that in mind. Don't get lost at the docks." He waved a goodbye to Xipili then turned his attention back to the fabric he'd been trying to look at earlier.
