There were no good words to describe the immense pain that Jhin felt when the healing began. Pure agony tensed his muscles and it was only through years of intense training that he did not simply let go. Instead the man found himself taking in a sharp breath, his throat burning from the desire to yell. His fingers dug into his seat, the wood rough against his burning body, but Jhin endured. He focused on a flower, a hint of bright color in the grassy fields and imagined that the golden and teal specks were familiar eyes. This would be fine, he could handle it. Jhin made the silent promise as he continued staring down the flower while letting the healer do his work.

"Breathe for me," Sol murmured. The healer pressed his hand against the wound itself like a hot brand. He painstakingly pulled the appendage over the affected area and did his best not to leave a single area untouched. When he took the opportunity to inhale loudly and then exhale Sol wasn't quite sure if it was for his patient or himself. His head was feeling fuzzy in much the same way it had when he'd been poisoned by the keldari. As if the light in his soul were being ripped from his consciousness into another.
Any other day and it may not have felt so intense, but today he felt himself wishing it were over.
After what felt like an eternity Sol broke contact and unceremoniously fell back onto his rump with a loud exhale.

It felt like he was being stabbed a thousand times, sometimes with sharp needles other times with a dull blade, and Jhin had to constantly remind himself that he was being healed and not attacked. The ranger did his best to keep his composure, sweat dripping from his brow, but eventually after what felt like ages the pain started to recede. Of course that also meant the healer was spent and that Jhin's whole body was tight, the flesh pulling back together at the injury and healing. His own body sagged with exhaustion and a large breath escaped his lips as he realized that they were finished. "Are...are you alright?" He tried to recall the healer before realizing that he didn't even know his name. "Thank you." Jhin instead managed weakly, his lips curving upwards into a faint smile for a moment before relaxing again because he simply could not make the effort even for that. At least now he wasn't going to die of blood loss though he definitely would need something to drink or eat soon because of how badly his head was spinning. Everything ached, but at least Jhin knew that he was going to be able to make it home from this journey thanks to the hybrid's help.

If Sol's vision were still with him it would be swimming. His nausea wasn't all consuming, but it was strong enough that he knew he wouldn't be eating anytime soon. "It's...been a long day." Sol took a shaky breath and did his best to raise back up to his knees. There was no way he was going to be standing for a while, at least on his own, but he made the effort to pat the man's arm.
When he found himself utterly spent from that bit of effort Sol simply settled into a full sit on the ground beside him. He needed sleep and a warm blanket, but he couldn't really get that here. At some point he would need to leave, but...how, exactly? "Is there...perhaps a way that we can exchange payment for an escort back to my camp?" It was embarrassing to ask, but Sol wasn't about to go traipsing off into unknown territory, blind and stumbling. "Not you, though; you'll need to rest for a few days to build your stamina back, but the wound itself should be completely closed. If it isn't we're camped nearby and you can come find me. My name's Sol; there are others in our carvan who can guide you."

"Ah." Jhin's mind struggled to catch up with the words but then he found himself nodding. "I can ask a couple of the others to escort you back, especially since your camp is nearby." He managed with a small smile. "It's the least I can do for the help. Perhaps we can even try to get some food out of them before you leave." The ranger felt his body relaxing as he started to adjust to the healed wound, his body mostly aching instead of screaming in agony like it had been earlier. There was something that tickled the edge of his mind, something about the name Sol that really bothered him but it was hard to grasp onto why. Who had mentioned Sol? "Oh the city." Jhin found himself musing with a soft chuckle. Maybe that was it. He had heard about some of the cities in Jahaur since his father was a merchant who traveled that way on occasion after all. It wasn't as if Kyril would have mentioned a Sol...."Oh. Oh." Jhin felt his gaze widen as he truly studied the hybrid healer. Was this truly such a small world that he would have run into someone that was connected with Kyril's family? Would she want him to say anything? Jhin opened his mouth before closing it again and shaking his head. Later. He would think about it later but first they needed food and rest.
"I'll see about some food and getting you an escort." He promised as he slowly stood up and trudged towards the rest of the group to make preparations for dinner and Sol's departure.
