“It is ancient history,” Lyndin answered with a little shrug. “We all know the story, I don’t mind you asking. We were a peaceful people. We focused on energy manufacturing, and research. Life was good. A Senshi was a perk but not a necessity. The last Senshi to awaken on our world lived to be nearly twenty eight hundred years, by your count. A long life, but not even the oldest Senshi. Old age took him,” he said, like it was such a simple thing. "It was peaceful. A death we could all be grateful for." He didn’t seem particularly heartbroken about it, but then, if he had been at one point he’d already had plenty of time to grieve. Caedus listened to the story, gave pause for a few seconds, and then said, “You would really let us visit Andronicus?” to see books or otherwise, his attention had shifted immediately to the offer.

Andronicus smiled a little at the 'peaceful death' at the ripe age of 2800 years old. That was older than several civilizations on Earth. Which meant that Velenia was far, far older than Earth. Or at least with having people on it at the very least. At least it was a peaceful death; Andronicus' deaths had been anything but peaceful.
"Your people are so long lived, I am both jealous and sympathetic. Must not be easy watching other worlds grow and die around you, or watch contacts and friends you knew die so quickly. Energy manufacturing? Interesting... feel like if Metallia had their hands on that, that would just solve all their problems with Order," she said with a little chuckle. It was a terrifying prospect, but logically, that would be the best use of the tech for the Chaos entity. Why worry about your minions collecting energy when you could just create it?
She turned to Caedus and nodded. "It's pretty sandy and can be chilly some nights, but I don't have any issues letting you visit my wonder. Besides, might be nice to have someone over for once," said the knight with a giggle and a soft smile for Caedus. "Just let me know when you'd like to go and we can pop over there any time."

Caedus was smiling again, incredibly easy to read and incredibly eager to see this sandy, chilly world. Cold, he knew. Cold, he could handle. Sand, he had less familiarity with, and cold sand was such a distant memory in his mind. “Any time,” Caedus answered. “I have no schedule to keep. At your convenience, I will be ready. And, I will be a courteous guest,” he assured. “I will dress warmly.” He could be ready whenever, that much was obvious. Lyndin watched him with a tired amusement; he smiled and shook his head as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Long-lived or otherwise, it means nothing when there’s no one out there with you. It’s been quite a while since we found a world that sustained any sentient life.” He looked at her appreciatively, proudly. Most of the worlds had fallen when the Moon Kingdom fell, but he supposed she must know that already. “It seems a miracle that this one exists and is flourishing.”

Andronicus smiled at Caedus, almost wanting to muse with his hair a little. Kind of like a sister would to a younger brother. He was so... something. Something she couldn't put into words, but she wanted to keep him smiling as long as possible. The thought of him being hurt, again, left a bad taste in her mouth.
"In a few days time? I'm a little limited with how many times I can go per week - space magic teleportation and all that - but I should be good to go again in a few days," she told Caedus, before turning back to Lyndin. Hells, she hadn't even taken Alexandria, but here she was taking an alien. Maybe she'd just take both at once. She could do that right? Probably.
She shrugged a little. "I dunno, we seem to be doing a great job of killing it off while all the rich people try to abscond to Mars. Huh... I wonder, is there some sort of magical barrier that protects senshi worlds and knight wonders from being picked up by 'normal' means? For example, humans have placed a science rover on Mars, but never has it come back with any pictures of someone's wonder or the capital of Mars. Man... space tech is wicked if that's the case..."
She sort of looked a little wistful and excited but also there was a hint of fear? Like okay Earth was an anomaly clearly but why had no other world come to conquer or figure out what was going on here? Maybe the Sol System was just... special like that. Or Metallia scared everything off.
Gods she could talk for hours with these two but maybe they had other things to do too? "Oh, s**t, uh by the way, if you guys have something else you need to get to, please don't let me keep you? I'm just very curious and excited there's even life somewhere else in the universe so I could talk for hours..." She scratched her cheek sheepishly at them.

Caedus smiled again and it was obvious that her enthusiasm carried into his own. “I think it is a good thing to be curious. The world around you, the universe, it is impressive. There are so many things to be astounded by. I have time,” he assured. “Not too much time,” Lyndin reminded, and gave him a look that indicated he was clearly the responsible one and they did have a lengthy list of things to tend to. “Especially if you’re going to take her up on her offer to go visit soon.” Caedus blinked and the nodded quickly, like he was particularly grateful that Lyndin was there to be logical for the both of them. Satisfied that Caedus might be thinking a bit more practically, Lyndin returned his attention to Andronicus’ questions. “I think they have some sort of magical protection to keep uninvited guests out. I wouldn’t worry too much, if something doesn’t want to be found, it won’t be. The Code works like that, if I recall. It can protect itself somewhat. It’s not a permanent shield, but if you don’t have magic, I don’t think you’ll ever be aware of it. There are Earth Knights, aren’t there? And they haven’t been discovered by the majority of your population?” He didn’t seem worried, even if he seemed to be aware that his information might be a bit out of date.

She thought about that and hummed a little. That made a lot of sense, that worlds and wonders just didn't want to be found, just like no one had ever found the Rift unless you were part of the Negaverse. It wasn't like it was a crater somewhere that let you in, after all. Magic was weird, you know?
"That's fair. I never quite thought of it like that before, but that makes sense. I'm sure that some locations on Earth probably have knights and are wonders, but to the common person, its just like... Stonehedge or the Burmuda Triangle or something like that. Like maybe there's a bit of something 'weird' about the place, but otherwise just a 'wonder of the world'. Hehe." Andronicus snorted at herself a little. Oh, the unintended puns...
"I think... that ends my list of questions for now, haha. I'll leave the two of you to your duties and come swoop Caedus up in a few days for a visit to my wonder. Try not to do anything silly in the mean time, yes?" she said with a joking sort of tone as she stood and made to exit the barrier.

Lyndin bowed his head just a bit, obviously a polite gesture. He seemed respectful of Andronicus and the time they’d spent together. “We’ll do our best,” he assured. Caedus smiled, in that way that said he would do his best, but he wasn’t so naive as to presume that he wouldn’t wind up doing something silly. Earth brought out the best in him, even if that might not have been quite consistent with Velencian standards. “Take care of yourself, Andronicus. I am already excited to see you again.”

"I will, don't worry," she said to Caedus, before disappearing through the barrier and back into the human world with a flick of a wave.
