He kept her in his arms and carefully shifted positions to make sure he didn’t jostle her. He didn’t know if she was hurt, or even if she was just sore from all of the changes she’d gone through already. He didn’t know if he’d have been able to do it if he didn’t have the strength given to him by the Negaverse, but she felt light in his arms.
He kept her head tucked under his chin.
“You’re safe,” he promised again, and while he held her tightly to his chest, he teleported them out of there.
He didn’t know how long she might need to heal, but he was willing to do whatever it took to see that it happened.
