Xenia panicked. “Careful, careful! Not so fast.” She rose up to help the Oban stand, albeit taking on more of the muscular woman’s weight than she’d expected. How was she supposed to get away if she was wobbling this much? Maybe she could get her out of the slums….No, she couldn’t risk it. If she didn’t meet up with Indra soon she would come for her. “When you get outside, take a right and then go straight. You’ll be on the South side, but as long as you don’t stop for any reason someone’s sure to find you.” She reached above them to make sure the window was clear before crouching once more to help hoist Sariza up.

“How long…? How long have I been here?” Sariza angled her leg in just the right position on Xenia’s thigh to push herself up into the window. It was going to be a tight squeeze; the window itself was just a small c***k in the stone exterior, and there wasn’t anything to catch her fall from below...With a great, nauseating huff the Oban pulled herself halfway through and settled into a position that she could at least look behind her without her weight being pressed on Xenia.

It was a little harder to hear Sariza now that her voice was being muffled by the stone, but if Xenia stood on her tiptoes then she could make out enough. “Two days. Once the red flower takes hold it’s hard to make it let go.” Admittedly that was a lie. She’d been here for closer to two weeks, but Xenia didn’t want her to be anymore distressed now than she already was. A noise behind her startled the yaeli, but she quickly found it to be just her own foot hitting a loose stone. “Please, go. You’re running out of time.”

Her descent wasn’t the most spectacular thing. Sariza landed with a hard ‘thud’ on the ground below her and had there been anyone awake at that hour they surely would have heard! She rolled up onto her knees with a curse before turning her hazy eyes back up at the window. Now that she was outside her top priority should have been leaving and yet… “Come with me. I can find you somewhere safe for you.” No one had to know about her past, or at the very least, not until Sariza found her a place to hide.

“It’s too late for me. I’ve been gone too long-” Escape, now? There just wasn’t a chance. If she left she couldn’t go home because of the bounty on her head and that was IF she managed to get far enough away from Indra to hope. “-I doubt anyone I left behind would recognize me. But you? You’ve still got a future. Just promise me you’ll live it to the fullest.” Waving her hand in front of the window, Xenia motioned for the Oban to get moving before she started to walk away herself. She needed to get the room cleaned up as best she could before her girlfriend found out their prisoner had fled.
