“Oh man… yeah.. Lips are uh..” Xander nodded with a dazed expression.
“Yeah I think that’d be pretty uh…”

He was at a loss for words honestly. “What you just said, about the hot… it’d be that…” He stammered out, cheeks hot.

He laughed then, trying to recover himself.
“I mean, it’s a good thing we find each other hot, right? Like…s**t… imagine if we didn’t?? Like I’d still date you, cause you’re you…but if I wasn’t…hot to you, what have I even got to offer right? Spice buddies only goes so far.”

He mused.

“I mean, you are! Of course you are!” He blinked and then quickly tried to backtrack.

“Nelson, I’d always be your friend.”

He grabbed his hand and squeezed it in both of his own. Nelson… had to know that right? He’d do his best to reassure him for the rest of his life if he could, but there was a twist of worry in him, that maybe, maybe Nelson didn’t trust how HE felt.

Didn’t trust that Xander was telling the truth.

“I mean, I might be upset about the dating but, you’d still be my friend.”
